Recently, I was doing computer work with my television on in the background. Suddenly, my attention was focused on a voice that was singing through the televison. Instantly, I thought: “That is Nate King Cole.” I looked up from my laptop and saw that the performer on the television was actually John Legend.
There was an uncanny similarity in their voices and when I viewed images of these two gifted musicians, I saw a physical resemblances in certain photos.
In a session with Kevin Ryerson, Ahtun Re affirmed that John Legend is the reincarnation of Nate King Cole.
One of the most culturally significant reincarnation cases involves Barbro Karlen, who I have had he honor of doing joint presentations with since 2001. I first met Barbro in 2000 and I now consider her a very good friend. I would like to share her experiences with you. A Toddler’s Past Life Memories of being Anne Frank
Anne Frank died in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1945. Less than ten years later, in 1954, Barbro Karlen was born to Christian parents in Sweden. When she was less than three years old, Barbro told her parents that her name was not Barbro, but “Anne Frank.” Barbro’s parents had no idea of who Anne Frank was, as they were unaware of the book, Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl, also known as The Diary of Anne Frank.
During her childhood, Barbro told her parents details of her life as Anne, which her parents thought were fantasies. In addition, Barbro had nightmares in which men ran up the stairs and kicked in the door to her family’s attic hiding place. Barbro’s past life memories worried her parents and at one point, when she was a child, they had her evaluated by a psychiatrist. Barbro, though, by this time, had learned that it was not wise to talk about the other world she lived in, the world of Anne Frank, as she noticed that everyone “got tense” when she described her memories to them. When she saw the psychiatrist, she made no mention of her memories of being Anne and was deemed a perfectly normal little girl.

When Barbro was seven or eight years of age, she became confused when her schoolteacher began talking about Anne Frank in class. Barbro thought to herself, “How could my teacher know about Anne Frank?” Barbro knew that she was Anne Frank. Barbro began to realize that Anne Frank was a famous person. “How could that be,” she thought? Describing her confusion as a child, Barbro has related “all this didn’t work for me.”
Imagine how hard it must have been for Barbro to have spontaneous memories of a past lifetime and to have no one to talk to, no one who could help her with her confusion, traumatic memories and nightmares.
Barbro’s Past Life Phobias Related to Anne Frank’s Holocaust Experience
Since childhood, Barbro has had a fear of men in uniforms. Even as an adult, if stopped for a traffic violation by a police officer, Barbro would have such anxiety that she would consider fleeing. In order to get over her phobia of uniforms, as well as to work with horses, Barbro in adulthood, decided to become a mounted Swedish police officer. After completing her training with the Swedish Police Authority, Barbro did become a mounted police officer and she worked with police horses for over a decade.
In addition, Barbro has had an aversion to eating beans since childhood, which the Frank family existed on for nearly two years. Barbro would also only take baths, not showers. In concentration camps, Nazi’s would bring prisoners into large rooms telling the prisoners that they would be given showers. Instead of water, poison gas was piped into the room to kill the prisoners. Anne was first taken to the Auschwitz concentration camp, where such gas chambers were used to kill those too feeble to perform forced labor. Later, she was transferred to the Bergen-Belsen camp, where she died.

Barbro also resisted having her hair cut. In concentration camps, new arrivals were stripped naked and heads were shaved, followed by a process of disinfection.
At 10 Years of Age, Barbro’s Geographic Past Life Memory Leads her Parents to the Anne Frank House
Barbro received her first validation of being Anne Frank when she was ten years old, when she was able to find her way directly to the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam without directions.
The graphic to the right, which can be enlarged, shows how circular the streets of Amsterdam are. It is easy to get lost wandering the streets of this city, yet Barbro’s past life memories of the streets of Amsterdam were clear. I will now describe the scene, utilizing excerpts from And the Wolves Howled.
When she was ten, Barbro’s parents took her on a tour of the major cities in Europe, including Amsterdam, the city where the Frank family lived. During World War II, Otto Frank and his family had to go into hiding in the attic of the building where Otto had his business, for the Nazi’s had invaded the Netherlands and were persecuting Jews. The Frank family hid in this attic for about two years, until they were discovered by the Nazis, arrested and sent to concentration camps.
The only survivor was the father, Otto Frank, who subsequently was given Anne’s diary, which he later had published. After the war, the hiding place was made into a museum, which is called The Anne Frank House.

By the time Barbro was ten, the Diary of Anne Frank had been published and distributed in Sweden and her parents had become aware of who the historical Anne Frank was. While in Amsterdam, her father wanted to visit the Anne Frank House. At their hotel, he took the phone off the hook and asked for a taxi to take them there.
Barbro suddenly exclaimed: “We don’t need a taxi, it’s not far to walk from here.” Barbro was so certain that it didn’t occur to her parents to object, they just meekly followed her as she walked off.
“We’ll soon be there, it’s just round the next corner,” Barbro told her parents. She herself wasn’t at all surprised when they arrived at the Anne Frank House after a ten minute walk through the twisting streets of the city. An image of the Anne Frank House is provided to the right. Upon their arrival, her parents stood there speechless and just looked at one another.
Past Life Memories: Barbro Knows Where Anne Frank’s Pictures should have been Found
“That’s strange,” Barbro said, when they stood in front of the steps up to the house. “It didn’t look like this before.” She looked wonderingly and her parents didn’t know what to say. They entered the house and went up the long narrow staircase. Barbro, who had been so carefree when showing them the way, suddenly went white in the face. She broke out in a cold sweat and reached for her mother’s hand. Her mother was horrified when she felt Barbro’s hand, which was as cold as ice.
When they entered the hiding place, the same terrors overcame Barbro that she had experienced so many times in her dreams. She found it hard to breathe and panic spread through her body. When they went into one of the smaller rooms, she suddenly stood still and brightened up a little.
Barbro looked at the wall in front of her and exclaimed, “Look, the pictures of the film stars are still there!” The pictures of the movie stars that Anne had clipped and affixed to the wall, which Barbro saw at that moment, made her feel happy, almost as if she had come home.

Her mother stared at the blank wall and couldn’t understand this at all. “What pictures? The wall is bare?” Barbro looked again and she saw that this was true. The wall was bare! Her mother was so confounded that she felt driven to ask one of the guides whether there had been pictures on the wall at one time.
“Oh yes,” the guide replied, “they had only been taken down temporarily to be mounted under glass so that they wouldn’t be destroyed or stolen.” Barbro’s mother didn’t know what to say.
“How in the world could you find your way here first of all, then insist that the steps outside were different and then see the pictures on the wall when they weren’t there?”
Barbro’s mother was full of questions, but Barbro was quite incapable of saying even a single word. She just wanted to get out of there; she couldn’t stand it a moment longer.
Her legs felt like jelly as she went down the stairs. She had never before in her life felt so wretched. The tears ran unrestrained down her face, and her legs would not carry her. When she reached the bottom step her legs folded under her and she fell.
Barbro’s Parents Accept that She had a Past Life as Anne Frank
Barbro relates that these incidents in Amsterdam finally made her parents believe that she is the reincarnation of Anne Frank. After all, how else could she know how to get to the Anne Frank House on the family’s first trip to Amsterdam, and without directions? How could she know that the stairs had been modified? How did she know that pictures of movie stars, which Anne Frank had clipped from magazines, should be found on a specific wall inside the house, when these pictures had been removed so that they could be mounted behind glass?
In time, Barbro’s mother responded by becoming very spiritual and a believer in reincarnation. Barbro’s father, on the other hand, seemed annoyed. Barbro relates that her father responded by saying: “I can’t deny that you have somehow been here before. Perhaps you have lived before and have reincarnated, but you are the only one!”
Barbro understood that by being faced with the reality of reincarnation, her father’s Christian world view, where “everything was set right,” was threatened. Barbro was much happier, though, as from this point on as she could talk to her mother about her past lifetime as Anne Frank. She had her mother’s support.
Past Life Talent: Barbro Karlen is a Childhood Writing Prodigy, like Anne Frank
Anne Frank was a childhood writing prodigy. She is not the most famous victim of the Holocaust because she had the worst death. Rather, she become the most famous victim because as a teenager she wrote a book, a diary, that was readable and addressed universal themes, such as the nature of man and man’s tendency to be good or evil. Children around the world have been instructed to read The Diary of Anne Frank to learn about prejudice, which has made Anne’s diary the second most read book in the world, next to the Bible.
Like Anne Frank, Barbro Karlen was a childhood writing prodigy. Barbro relates that learning to write was a great gift. As a child, she could not speak to anyone about her past life memories, but once she learned to write, she could have discourses on her writing tablet.
One day, when she was eleven or so, a family friend read a few of her compositions and realized that this was worthy prose. Barbro was asked if her casual writings could be sent to a publisher, which she agreed to.
Published when Barbro was 12 years of age
At the age of twelve, her first book of prose was published. This book, Man on Earth, became the best-selling prose/poetry book in Swedish history. Barbro became a child celebrity, debating theology with ministers and theologians on television programs. In her teenage years, she had a total of nine books published. These books, written in her youth, have been translated into multiple languages, much like the Diary of Anne Frank.
Barbro’s Past Life Memories Recede, then Reemerge when She encounters Reincarnated Nazi Guards
After her adolescence passed, Barbro’s past life memories began to fade, which was a relief to Barbro, as now she could finally lead a normal life. As she pursued her career with the Swedish Police Service, Barbro thought that she never would be public regarding her memories of being Anne Frank. As Barbro wistfully states in her video interview, though, “never say never.”
It was not until she was in her forties that past life memories began to emerge again. Barbro began having negative interactions with another mounted police officer, who seemed to be persecuting her. It was these interactions that triggered the rekindling of her memories of being Anne Frank and in particular, she recalled scenes from a concentration camp. Barbro realized that this police officer was a reincarnated Nazi guard from the Bergen-Belsen concentration.
Though these past life memories were painful, they gave Barbro the will to write her book, And the Wolves Howled. Barbro relates that she wanted to show that though these guards, these wolves, participated in her persecution in the Anne Frank lifetime, she would not allow them to hurt her again in contemporary times. She wanted to share with others that the soul perseveres and in this way, to provide comfort to others.
Barbro Meets her Past Life Cousin, Buddy Elias, President of the Anne Frank Foundation
As she prepared her book, And the Wolves Howled, for publication, Buddy Elias, President of the Anne Frank Foundation and at the time, the last living relative of Anne Frank, heard about Barbro’s claim to be the reincarnation of his cousin, Anne Frank. Through her publisher, Buddy invited Barbro to his home for dinner, though he asked Barbro’s publisher not to reveal who he was in relation to Anne Frank or the Anne Frank Foundation. Buddy advised the publisher to tell Barbro that their dinner host was a fan of the books she wrote as a child and adolescent. Though he did not believe in reincarnation, Buddy wanted to meet this person who claimed to be the reincarnation of Anne. Buddy and Anne Frank, as cousins, played together in their youth.

Barbro relates that when they first saw each other, she and Buddy fell into each others arms and cried together. Barbro says she had instant recognition that Buddy was someone she knew and loved from the Frank lifetime. They spoke for two hours at the time of this first meeting and they continued to be very good friends for 20 years, until Buddy’s death in 2015. Barbro would stay at Buddy’s home in Switzerland when she visited Europe and Buddy had stayed in Barbro’s home when he visited her in the United States.

An article from the leading German magazine, Zeitspiegel, was published regarding this event on May 19, 1998:
“Buddy Elias, actor in Basel, is the cousin of Anne Frank and the President of the Anne Frank Foundation. Buddy Elias met with Anne Frank the last time just before the war broke out. She mentions him as “Bernd” in her Diary many times.
Anne’s father, Otto Frank, returned to Amsterdam after his liberation from Aushwitz. He then lived with his nephew, Buddy Elias, in Basel until his death.
Two years ago, Buddy Elias and Barbro Karlen met for the first time. At the presentation of the autobiography by Barbro Karlen, Buddy Elias read parts of it for the audience.
Bruckenbauer: “Buddy Elias, what memories do you have of your cousin, Anne Frank?”
Buddy Elias: “She was a very pleasant person, a lively child with her head full of ideas how to live. We loved each other very much, when the war began, we corresponded with each other.”
“Do you believe in reincarnation?”
Buddy Elias: “Yes, I do.”
“So how is it for you when a woman claims she is the reincarnation of your cousin? Barbro Karlen is not the only one!”
“I have been very skeptical, but Barbro is different from everybody else.”
“How was the first meeting with Barbro?”
“It was very emotional. First time I saw her, I had heard about her. I had a very strange feeling, a very positive impression. It felt like we had a soul connection. Barbro Moves to California, where Walter Semkiw, MD observes that Anne Frank and Barbro Karlen have the Same Facial Features
Barbro and a female friend of hers took a vacation to experience California’s coastal Highway 1. While on that trip, based on an intuition, Barbro decided to open a Swedish import shop in Carmel, even though she had no prior experience in business or retail sales. Barbro moved from Sweden to Northern California, where I met her. When I first received the phone call in 2000, in which I was told about a woman who claimed to be the reincarnation of Anne Frank, I was very skeptical. When I met her and listened to her story, I came to believe that she is genuine and that I had truly met the reincarnation of Anne Frank.
In her book, Barbro never mentions that she has the same appearance as Anne Frank, as her memories are what are most meaningful to her, not appearance. Upon meeting her, I realized that Barbro has the same facial features as Anne.
In the image comparison featured on this website, Barbro as a seven year old girl is featured on the left side, Anne Frank as a teenager is in the center and Barbro as an adult is on the right side. It appears that we are looking at images of one person in three stages of life. In actuality, we are looking at one soul in two different lifetimes.
Anne Frank & Barbro Karlen: Reincarnation & Similarities in Personality
In addition to facial features, there are many character similarities between Barbro and Anne. These include:
“Spiritual insight rarely falls from the lips of a thirteen or fourteen year old girl. Indeed, as many of the new entries in the diary will show, Anne Frank was essentially a physical being, a lover of nature, intrigued with her own sexuality.”
These traits are reflected in Barbro Karlen, who at sixteen years of age used her book earnings to purchase a cottage in the woods. She soon populated her property with her horse, two dogs, two cats, a sheep and a flock of hens and chicks. Barbro especially loved her horse and horseback riding, which eventually led her to pursue a career as a mounted policewoman.
Her sexuality is evidenced by an early marriage and her pregnancy at the age of 18. Indeed, many of Anne’s desires seem to have come to fruition early in the life of Barbro Karlen.
B. Natural literary skills
Anne Frank had natural gifts as a writer. Similarly, Barbro Karlen was a childhood literary prodigy. Her first book, Man on Earth, which was published when she was 12 years of age and became the all time best-selling poetry book in Sweden. Between ages 12 to 17, nine books written by Barbro, including When the Storm Comes and a Moment in the Blossom Kingdom, were published.
It is interesting to note that Anne Frank always hoped to be a published writer. On May 11, 1944, Anne wrote that her “greatest wish” was to become a journalist, “and later on, a famous writer.” Once again, it appears that Anne’s desires were fulfilled early in the life of Barbro Karlen.
C. Similar Writing Themes
Similar themes are found in the writings of Frank and Karlen. Though one may argue that these similarities are intentional, Barbro Karlen maintains that she has not studied Anne Frank’s works.
Anne Frank, due to the persecution of the Jews by the Nazis, reflected extensively on issues of good and evil. Anne also had a tendency to personify human qualities, as seen in the quotation cited below regarding “Lies.” Anne’s legacy is based on her ability to maintain hope in the face of dismal circumstances. Anne Frank’s most famous quote affirms the basic goodness of man.
Barbro Karlen also writes of good and evil in her book, And the Wolves Howled, in part due to her memories of the Frank lifetime and in part due to persecution experienced in this lifetime while working for the Swedish Police Service. Barbro also has a tendency to personify human qualities, like Anne. Let us compare passages written by Frank and Karlen regarding evil:

Annette Lantos meets Barbro Karlen & Invites Barbro & Me to Washington, DC
Annette Lantos is the wife of the late Tom Lantos, who served in the United States Congress for 27 years. Tom, whose picture is featured to the right, was the only Holocaust survivor to be elected to the US Congress. When President George W. Bush traveled to Germany for a Holocaust memorial, he took Tom with him. U2 singer Bono was a close friend, as he admired Tom’s dedication to bringing justice to the darkest corners of the world.
It was Annette and Tom who nominated the 14th Dalai Lama for a Nobel Prize, which he won.
When Annette heard about Barbro’s case, she wanted to meet Barbro, as Annette is also is a Holocaust survivor. Annette, Barbro and I spent almost 3 hours in Tom’s Congressional office in San Mateo, California. Tom and Annette were very much in love and while we were in a conference room, Tom repeatedly poked his head into the room to ask his beloved wife whether she was finished. Annette, fascinated with Barbro’s story, kept sending Tom away.
Barbro and Walter Meet Condolezza Rice & Charity Sunshine
By the end of our meeting, Annette was intrigued enough by the proposal that Barbro is the reincarnation of Anne Frank that she asked us to attend a “by invitation only” benefit concert at the Kennedy Center, in Washington DC. At this event, Tom and Annette’s granddaughter, Charity Sunshine Tillemann-Dick, would sing and Condoleezza Rice would accompany Charity on the piano. We did attend, sat in the front row and later met Dr. Rice at a reception.
Lantos Foundation for Human Rights & Justice and the Tom Lantos Tunnels
Annette now serves as the Chairman of the Lantos Foundation for Human Rights and Justice. In honor of Tom, recently constructed tunnels along Highway 1 between San Francisco and Half Moon Bay have been named the Tom Lantos Tunnels. Every time I traverse these tunnels, I fondly reflect on Tom, Annette and Charity, and our experiences in Washington, DC.
Children’s Past Life Author Carol Bowman supports the Anne Frank | Barbro Karlen Reincarnation Case
A person who supports Barbro’s case is Carol Bowman, who is a pioneer in studying children who spontaneously recall past lives. In 2006, Carol and Barbro attended a reincarnation conference in Colorado Springs. In addition to Carol learning about Barbro’s case, Carol and Barbro had the opportunity to spend an afternoon together horseback riding. Carol has stated that she judges Barbro’s reincarnation case to be a strong one.
Carol shared an amusing anecdote regarding the time they spent together. To go horseback riding, Carol and Barbro had to take a taxi from the hotel to the stables. Carol was raised Jewish and both women were taken aback when their taxi driver turned out to be a bearded Hasidic Jew wearing the traditional black hat and clothing. Carol reflected, “What are the odds of getting a taxi driver who is a Hasidic Jew in Colorado Springs?”
Anne Frank & Possible Reincarnation Prophecy: God Will Raise Us Up Again
I will cite one last quotation from Anne Frank’s diary, which refers to the perseverance of the Jewish faith and people. It also has a poetic ring of truth regarding reincarnation, perhaps not intended by Anne, yet beautiful all the same.
“Who has inflicted this upon us?
Who has made us Jews different from all other people?
Who has allowed us to suffer so terribly up till now?
It is God who had made us who we are,
but it will be God, too, who will raise us up again.”
Past Life Physical Resemblance: Anne Frank and Barbro Karlen have the same facial features. It is of interest that Barbro never mentions this physical resemblance to Anne in her book And the Wolves Howled, though others had told her that she looks like Anne Frank. The physical resemblance between Anne and Barbro was first published in 2006 in my book: Born Again
Past Life Talent: Barbro Karlen was a childhood writing prodigy, as was Anne Frank.
Phobias from a Past Lifetime: Barbro had an irrational fear of men in police uniforms, which seems to stem from Anne’s experience with Nazi soldiers and concentration camp guards. Barbro also had an aversion to showers, did not want to eat beans and resisted having her hair cut, which also reflect incidents in Anne Frank’s life, as described above.
Geographic Memory: On her first visit to Amsterdam at the age of ten, Barbro was able to spontaneously lead her parents from their hotel to the Anne Frank House, without directions.
If the Nazi’s during World War II knew that one could be born Jewish in one lifetime and Christian in another, the Holocaust could never have happened. Similarly, when Muslim Palestinians realize that then can be reborn as Israeli Jews, when Sunni’s know they can reincarnate as Shiites, Christians understand they can be reborn into an Islamic culture and vice versa, then conflict based on these cultural differences of identity will be mitigated.
Barbro Karlen’s case dramatically demonstrates how reincarnation research and evidence of reincarnation can transform the world in a positive way.

Spirit Being Ahtun Re Won’t Reveal Contemporary Identities of Laurel & Hardy
I have worked with trance medium Kevin Ryerson, who has been made famous through his collaboration with Shirley MacLaine, since 2001. Since that time, a spirit being that Kevin channels named Ahtun Re has demonstrated to me that he has the ability to make past life matches with a high degree of accuracy. A set of cases which dramatically demonstrate Ahtun Re’s ability to make valid past life matches involves the reincarnation cases of Laurel & Hardy. After working with Kevin Ryerson for a period of a few months in late 2001 and early 2002 and realizing that Ahtun Re was able to make what appeared to be accurate past life matches, I began asking about well-known people across time. For contemporary figures I asked about past lives, for historical figures, I inquired whether they had reincarnated in contemporary times.
Starting in 2003, I asked Ahtun Re whether Laurel and Hardy had reincarnated in contemporary times. Ahtun Re told me that they had, but he would not reveal to me who they were, which peeved me. When I inquired why he could not divulge their identities to me, Ahtun Re simply replied, “We cannot tell you at this time.”
Over the next year, I tried to circumvent his decree by hypothesizing matches. I would inquire whether various slim contemporary comedians may be the reincarnation of Stan Laurel and whether various chubby comedians may be Oliver Hardy reincarnated. To all my hypothesized matches, Ahtun Re would tell me that the proposed match was incorrect, but he still refused to tell me who Laurel and Hardy were in contemporary times. Having exhausted all the possibilities for matches that I could think of, I gave up and forgot about the issue for about a year.
Spirit Guide Ahtun Re does not Rubber Stamp Proposed Reincarnation Cases
At this juncture, I would like to point out that one of the reasons I have grown to trust Ahtun Re’s ability to make past life matches is that he does not “rubber stamp” proposed reincarnation cases.
On the contrary, most matches that people propose are deemed inaccurate by Ahtun Re. When I myself try to derive a past life match, many times Ahtun Re will tell me that I am inaccurate, but when the true match is found and then confirmed by Ahtun Re, it uniformly turns out to be a very compelling case. It is my experience with Ahtun Re, through monthly sessions that have taken place since 2001, and a database of over a thousand reincarnation cases, that gives me perspective on his ability to make accurate past life matches.
The Reincarnations of Laurel and Hardy: A Best New Comedy Team
Let us now return to the cases of Laurel and Hardy. As mentioned, since Ahtun Re would not reveal the contemporary identities of Stan and Ollie and he refuted my numerous hypotheses, I gave up on finding them. A year or two passed when my interest was suddenly rekindled by seeing a cover of an old Rolling Stone magazine that was placed in one of my exam rooms, which had on it a small headline on it, “Best New Comedy Team.” Despite going through every page of this magazine, I couldn’t find anything in it about a new comedy team, but I had the feeling that I should search the Internet for new comedy teams.
Not only were these two brothers naturally funny looking, they were funny looking like Laurel and Hardy were funny looking. I intuitively and deeply knew that I had found them. Josh, the older brother, was the skinny Stan Laurel character and Danny was the chubby Oliver Hardy. In fact, the only major difference in appearance between Stan and Ollie and Josh and Danny is that Oliver Hardy was much heavier than Danny is.
Spirit Being Ahtun Re Affirms Josh & Danny as Laurel & Hardy Reincarnated
In my next session with Kevin Ryerson, after refuting all my previous proposed matches that I had made for Laurel and Hardy, Ahtun Re confirmed that Josh and Danny Bacher are the reincarnated comedy team of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy.
It is important for me to share that on Josh and Danny’s personal website, as well as the website of the theater they were performing at, there was absolutely no mention of Josh and Danny having any affinity for Laurel and Hardy.
Other than the title of their show, there was no description of what their show would contain. In other words, when I was about to contact the Bacher boys regarding their past life cases, I had no idea of how they would respond to being told that they are the reincarnations of Laurel and Hardy. As we will learn below, Josh and Danny had been reliving the lives of Laurel & Hardy ever since they were children.
Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy Life Stories
Stan Laurel was born in 1890, in Ulverston, England, while Oliver Hardy was born in Harlem, Georgia, in the United States. Stan worked as a comedian in Glasgow and eventually came to the US, where he joined a touring group that included Charlie Chaplin, which eventually led him to Los Angeles. Stan, by the way, believed in reincarnation and this theme was featured in Laurel & Hardy’s classic movie, The Flying Deuces.
Oliver started performing as a singer in a minstrel show and as an adult, migrated to California and signed with the producer, Hal Roach. Leo McCarey, a director working for Roach, wanted to create a comedy team for film shorts made up of a skinny guy with a fat guy. McCarey brought Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy together for the project and the comedy team that would last over 20 years was born.

With the belief that I had found the reincarnations of Laurel and Hardy as two brothers, I wondered at the mechanism of how reincarnation and life works. If the cases of Stan and Ollie | Josh and Danny are valid, then a comedy team that came together from across the Atlantic Ocean in 1926 was now reunited as two brothers, who were performing comedy once again in New York City, 80 years later.
Ian Stevenson studied 31 cases of twins whose past lives had been objectively validated. In all 31 cases, the twins had close relationships in their past incarnations. The most common type of past life relationship was that of siblings, which represented 11/31 or 35% of cases.
In 9/31 or 29% of twin cases, the twins were friends, acquaintances or business associates. Other family relationships, such as being cousins, made up 6/31 or 19% of twin cases. In 5/31 or 16% of twin cases, the twins were married in the past incarnation. (1)

The Reincarnations of Laurel & Hardy were Raised Jewish: Change in Religion
Though I was living in San Francisco, I called the Theater for the New City, in Manhattan, where the Josh and Danny would be performing, and purchased tickets for their show. I also asked that the Bacher brothers contact me, indicating that I could make some connections for them in Hollywood.
As noted above, I had no idea how Josh and Danny would react when I would advise them that according to my work with Kevin and Ahtun Re, they are the reincarnation of Laurel & Hardy. Nothing on their website or the theater’s web site mentioned that they had any affinity for Laurel & Hardy. For me, the fact that there was no knowledge in advance regarding these matters made me especially impressed of Ahtun Re’s confirmation of these reincarnation cases.
Affinity Case: The Reincarnations of Oliver Hardy Reveal the Great Influence that Laurel & Hardy have Been on the Brother’s Lives
Danny Bacher telephoned me within a couple days. After discussing ways I could possibly help them in their careers, I told Danny about my book, Return of the Revolutionaries, and then carefully explained to Danny the principles of reincarnation that were emerging from cases researched by Ian Stevenson, MD of the University of Virgina, as well as cases solved through my work with Kevin Ryerson.
I asked Danny if he had any particular spiritual leanings and he replied, “We were raised Jewish.” I could tell that Danny was starting to wonder where this was going and what all this had to do with their comedy work. I then blurted out, “You and Josh have been confirmed to be the reincarnations of Laurel and Hardy by Ahtun Re, an Egyptian spirit guide channeled through Kevin Ryerson.”
After a moment, Danny replied, “I don’t know about this reincarnation stuff, but what you say is very interesting because by far, the biggest influences on our lives, in terms of our comedic development, have been Laurel and Hardy.”
The Reincarnation of Oliver Hardy owns Ollie’s Pants & Suit–Astronomical Odds
What I learned next caused even me to be dumbfounded. Danny shared that he is one of the most extensive collectors of Laurel and Hardy memorabilia in the world. Danny has the actual pair of pants that Oliver Hardy wore in the famous dance sequence filmed in Way Out West. As pictured above, Danny has this pair of pants framed and behind glass on his bedroom wall.
Danny also has a full suit that Oliver Hardy wore, which is fitted on a manikin that stands in a corner of Danny’s bedroom. The boys have also acquired a jacket that Stanley Laurel wore, which is situated next to Ollie’s suit. This apparel, owned by Laurel & Hardy and now possessed by the reincarnations of Laurel & Hardy, are featured to the right. In addition, Josh and Danny lived together for many years in a townhouse with thousands of Laurel and Hardy artifacts on display.
What are the odds that I would call two unknown aspiring comedians, who nobody had heard of, who I was calling to inform that they are the reincarnations of Laurel and Hardy, based on the affirmation of an Egyptian spirit guide who has been dead for over 3000 years, and who turn out to have the actual clothing of Laurel and Hardy in their home as prized possessions?
A physician friend of mine assessed that the odds of this occurring by chance are astronomical.
Past Life Behavior & Music: Josh and Danny Drive around New York with Laurel & Hardy Theme Music
Another example of Josh and Danny’s extreme identification with Laurel and Hardy goes back to 1991, when the boys purchased their first car utilizing savings from their newspaper routes. Josh and Danny had created a cassette tape featuring music compiled from Laurel and Hardy’s movies. They would drive together around New York City and New Jersey in their Plymouth while playing music from Laurel and Hardy movies. The only thing that would be more suiting would be if they were driving a Ford Model T down Broadway.
Reflect on how unusual it is to make a custom tape of Laurel and Hardy theme music and play it while driving in one’s car. Note that Josh and Danny did this almost 15 years before I contacted them to inform them that they are the reincarnations of Laurel and Hardy. Again, what are the odds of this happening by chance?
Metaphysical Center of New Jersey: A Synchronistic Connection
Following our initial conversation, I sent Josh and Danny a copy of my book, Return of the Revolutionaries, and a videotape of Barbro Karlen telling her story of being the reincarnation of Anne Frank, which for me, is one of the most important of past life cases. I made plans to attend their show in New York because one, I wanted to meet the reincarnations of Laurel and Hardy, and two, I wanted to see if Josh and Danny could make people laugh like Laurel and Hardy did.
I then worked on arranging a reincarnation presentation while in New York, as a way to maximize the usefulness of my trip to the East Coast. I had recently presented at the New Life Expo in New York City in October 2005, where I was approached by Harriet Wagniere, the Director of the Metaphysical Center of New Jersey, who asked if I would consider speaking at their center in Wayne, New Jersey. At the time, I told her that I would love to, but I had no idea of when I would be back in the area, since I lived in California.
Now, since I would be in New York to see the Bacher Boys, I called Harriet to inquire whether if could speak at their center on that same weekend in January 2006. Though I had told Danny that I would keep the Laurel and Hardy match quiet until the brothers had time to digest it, I couldn’t resist sharing the secret with Harriet. I told her that I was coming to New York to meet the reincarnations of Laurel and Hardy. Harriet was surprised and asked, “Can I know who they are?”
After a fleeting moment of attempting to keep the matches confidential, I advised Harriet that I would tell her only if she would not divulge the information to anyone. Harriet agreed and so I let out the identities of the reincarnated Laurel and Hardy. Harriet then exclaimed, “I know Josh and Danny Bacher, I used to teach high school in Wayne and they were my students!”
When Harriet said that, I was a bit flabbergasted at the coincidence, yet at the same time, I have come to expect synchronistic events to occur as part of reincarnation research. In the end, this opportune coincidence resulted in the Metaphysical Center of New Jersey hosting my presentation at a venue in Wayne, New Jersey, located five minutes from where the parents of Josh and Danny live, which is about a 40 minute drive from New York City.
How do these synchronistic connections occur? One way is that our souls are aware of much more that we are aware of in our limited human consciousness. In the case involving Harriet, it may be that Ahtun Re knew that eventually I would discover the reincarnations of Laurel & Hardy, who Harriet knew as she was their schoolteacher in their contemporary incarnations. Communication between the Ahtun Re’s soul, my soul and Harriet’s soul regarding the upcoming identifications of Laurel & Hardy could have facilitated Harriet inviting me to speak at her metaphysical center.
Past Life Behavior: Josh & Danny Replicate the Relationship of Laurel & Hardy
I saw Josh and Danny perform on January 14, 2006 and I found myself laughing out loud, much as I had laughed at the antics of Stan and Ollie. Though they are of a different generation, they are just as funny and they relate to each other just as Stan and Ollie did. Josh, the skinny brother, plays the role of the innocent, sometimes confused one, who can break down whimpering when a plan goes wrong, while Danny, the slightly chubby brother, plays the role of the more sophisticated, intelligent and worldly one, who inevitably gets tripped up by Josh’s antics.
Reincarnation & Past life Talent: Josh & Danny Create a Silent Movie
The highlight for me was a silent movie that Josh and Danny created for their performance. It was as humorous as any silent movie that Hal Roach ever created, filled with slapstick, a gorilla on the loose, a Keystone cop and a blind girl who evokes empathy and at the same time, accidentally gives Danny a nasty whack to his private parts with her white cane. In that silent film and indeed, in the entire show, Josh and Danny reenacted the comedic development of Laurel and Hardy, much as Peter Teekamp replicated the artistic development of Paul Gauguin and Alexandra Nechita replicated the work of Picasso.

I was honored to have Josh and Danny, as well as their parents, Joel and Jane, attend my presentation on reincarnation research the day following the Bacher Boys’ New York City show. This presentation took place in Wayne, New Jersey. One can view the bringing of us together by Harriet Wagniere as a coincidence, but as discussed above, it also can be perceived as the work of spiritual guidance.
Consider the case of Captain Robert Snow and how he was brought to New Orleans by his wife, where he found the portrait of the hunchback woman, as well as his past lifetime as Carroll Beckwith. Though Captain Snow’s wife and Harriet Wagniere may not have had a telepathic voice tell them what to do, intuitions and desires can be just as effectively in coordinating events.
Affinity Reincarnation Cases: As Kids, Josh and Danny are Obsessed with Laurel & Hardy Dolls
The Bacher Boys and their parents found the proposal that Josh and Danny are the reincarnation of Laurel and Hardy intriguing and they noted correspondences. Josh was born on August 22, 1976, eleven years after Stan Laurel died. When Josh was born, he was given a set of Laurel and Hardy dolls by his cousin Sally. Joel and Jane Bacher relate that their son, Josh, loved the Laurel and Hardy dolls and they became his very favorite toys.
Danny was born on January 15, 1978, about 2 years after Josh and about twenty years after Oliver Hardy had died. Over the preceding years, Josh had played with the Laurel and Hardy dolls so intensely that when Danny was born, only the rubber heads still survived. Throughout their childhoods, Josh and Danny continued to play with the Stan and Ollie heads and they still have them, decades later.
As young children, Josh and Danny would often imitate Laurel and Hardy. Josh was always Stan and Dan was always Ollie. Danny would draw Oliver like mustaches on his toys and he himself would wear an Ollie mustache made out of black felt, which he would affix to his upper lip with transparent tape. While Danny wore his Ollie mustache, Josh would imitate Stanley, scratching the top of his head.
Josh and Danny acted like Stan and Ollie whenever they could and Joel and Jane Bacher, their parents, reflect that it was challenging, though entertaining, going out into the world, doing shopping and chores, along with little Laurel and Hardy (hopefully not too much property, such as pianos and automobiles, were destroyed in the process).
Further, Mr. Bacher, a trial attorney, relates that at their birthdays, the boys would always insist on showing Laurel and Hardy silent films, which were borrowed from the local library. As they grew up, Josh and Danny would develop comedy routines based on Laurel and Hardy, as well as other comedians old and new, which culminated in their January 2006, New York, Off-Broadway debut. Their self-proclaimed mission is to: “Bring joy and laughter to a world in need of a good laugh.”

Josh & Danny began replicating the behavior, abilities and talent of Laurel & Hardy, as well as collecting Laurel & Hardy memorabilia, years before Walter contacted them regarding their being the reincarnations of Stan & Ollie. Further, before Walter contacted the Bacher Boys about their past lives in 2005, he had no knowledge of Josh and Danny’s childhood Laurel & Hardy behavior, including making slapstick movies, nor did he know of their Laurel & Hardy collection. Lack of this knowledge prior to Walter contacting Josh and Danny makes Ahtun Re’s confirmation that the Bacher Boys are the reincarnations of Laurel & Hardy impressive.

Change in Religion: Laurel and Hardy were both Christian, whereas Josh and Danny were raised Jewish. Joel Bacher, their father, is Jewish while their mother, Jane, was born into a Christian family.
Affinity Cases: Josh and Danny were obsessed with Laurel and Hardy since they were toddlers. As such, they appear to have been innately attracted to their own past life personas. Though Josh was given a set of Laurel and Hardy dolls as a child, which could have stimulated interest, this does not explain their obsession with Laurel and Hardy in adulthood, as evidenced by Danny becoming a world-class collector of memorabilia involving Stan and Ollie, or their decision to become professional comedians and performers.

The odds of this occurring by chance are extremely small.
I term these types of cases “affinity cases,” where individuals are naturally attracted to their own past lives.
Dan Abrams is a lawyer and media entrepreneur. Abrams received a degree in political science prior to law school. Early in his career, he worked as a reporter for Court TV where he covered the OJ Simpson case and the trials of Dr. Jack Kevorkian, who helped terminally ill people commit suicide.
In recent years, he has achieved high visibility due to being the Chief Legal Affairs Anchor for ABC News. Dan is also an author and has written books on three US Presidents, including Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt.

Ian Stevenson, MD of the University of Virginia compiled over 1500 validated childhood past life memory cases that in aggregate provide proof of reincarnation. This evidence shows that we can change religion, nationality and ethnic affiliation from one lifetime to another.
Most wars are based on differences in these cultural markers of identity, so understanding that these markers are only temporary can help create greater peace. An important case in this regard, as well as others, are provided below:
Reincarnation research shows that people usually do the same type of thing and follow similar career paths from one lifetime to another. Adams and his colleagues sought to create greater equality though the creation of a democratic country, the United States, which led to another revolution in France. In this way old monarchies were cast off in the name of self-rule.
Evidence of reincarnation will free us from the control of old, established religions, the monarchies of spirituality, and reveals that we truly are equal regardless of what religion, nationality or ethnic group we belong to.

Dan Abrams as the Reincarnation of Isaiah Thomas, Publisher of the “Massachusetts Spy”
I had a hunch that Dan Abrams also was part of the American Revolution and I reasoned that he was likely a newspaper publisher, as Abrams is a reporter and media entrepreneur.
Since 2001, on roughly a monthly basis, I have been working with trance medium Kevin Ryerson who channels a spirit being named Ahtun Re, who has demonstrated the ability to make past life matches with a high degree of accuracy. In a session with Kevin over the telephone, I asked Ahtun Re whether Dan Abrams was incarnate during the American Revolution and if so, was he a newspaper publisher?
As is usual, Ahtun Re said, “One moment,” during which he psychically tunes into the subject of interest and waits for information to come to him. He can access a record of events that is engrained in the spirit realm, which some call the Akashic Record.
Ahtun Re returned and related that Dan was a newspaper publisher in Boston during the Revolution and that his periodical was supportive of the Patriot cause of Independence.
After doing some research into Boston newspapers and their founders, it appeared that Isaiah Thomas was the best candidate. In a subsequent session with Kevin, Ahtun Re affirmed that Dan Abrams is the reincarnation of Thomas.
Isaiah Thomas was born in 1749 in Boston, Massachusetts and as a teen he was apprenticed to a printer. As an adult, Thomas worked as a printer in New Hampshire and South Carolina.
He returned to Boston and in 1770 he formed a partnership to create a new newspaper, which was given the saucy name, the Massachusetts Spy. The Spy did indeed support the Patriots to the extent that the British colonial government took Isaiah Thomas to court, though in the end a grand jury failed to make an indictment. Due to this experience, Thomas moved his printing presses outside of Boston to nearby Worcester, Massachusetts, where he settled.
Isaiah Thomas and the Boston Massacre: Reporting Across Two Lifetimes
The Boston Massacre occurred on March 5, 1770, with the trial taking place later that year. As such, Thomas must have covered that trial for his paper, which means that Isaiah Thomas and John Adams knew one another.
Consider that Isaiah Thomas reported on the Boston Massacre trial, then reincarnated as Dan Abrams, who wrote the book John Adams Under Fire, which is about the very same trial!
The Massachusetts Spy also reported on the first battles of the American Revolution that took place in the Massachusetts towns of Lexington and Concord on April 19, 1775. Isaiah himself participated as a soldier in the Battle of Concord.
Following the decision by the Continental Congress to separate from Britain on July 4, 1776, Isaiah Thomas had the honor of performing the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence to the citizens of Worcester.
Authors in Two Lifetimes
Like Dan Abrams, Isaiah Thomas was an author of books and he wrote the History of Printing in America, with a Biography of Printers, and an Account of Newspapers, published in two volumes in 1810.
In 1812, Thomas founded the American Society of Antiquaries, now known as the American Antiquarian Society, and donated his collection of 8000 books to its library. Thomas died in 1831.
Past Life Passions, Talent and Abilities: Isaiah Thomas was a reporter and newspaper publisher for the American Revolution, while Dan Abrams is a reporter on legal matters and founder of a media empire.

I was contacted by Katerina, who proposed that Billie Eilish is the reincarnation of Kurt Cobain, the songwriter and lead singer of the alternative rock group Nirvana.
I grew up on the music of Nirvana, but it never occurred to me that Billie is the reincarnation of Kurt. Katerina’s message to me made me seriously consider the possibility.

“Why I thought about the match of Billie and Kurt? Well, as a 90s child, I love Nirvana and I am very familiar with their music and with Kurt’s life and demise. Recently, something drove me to listen to some live recordings of Nirvana’s concerts and what struck me again and again was the emotion with which Kurt performed. The depth, the extent, the very humanity of it.
I believe that that’s why his music touched the hearts of so many people around the world. And then there is the fact of Nirvana’s music was not top 40 material. It is a deeply alternative music, and yet somehow it became so mainstream, that Kurt himself hated it.
My impression of Billie is that she is mostly troubled by her involvement in the music industry at such a young age. Luckily, it seems like she has a very good family that takes care of her. And I hope that this lifetime is very successful for her.
In reading your book, Origin of the Soul and the Purpose of Reincarnation, I think a lot about what your spirit guide, Ahtun Re, said that the point of us incarnating on Earth is to learn to perform an innate skill with joy (this is clearly why their soul keeps coming back), and lastly to love all of humanity (the last one is probably the hardest of all three, right?).
That was perhaps the first clue. Billie Eilish is exactly the same. She is making very alternative music, yet her fame is akin to a pop superstar. She is as likely to be loved by an angsty teen as was Kurt.
I watched a documentary about Billie Eilish on Apple TV and watching her perform, watching her emotion, I thought of Kurt Cobain immediately. I had never heard of either entertainer, but in researching the names on the Internet, I found that they existed and that the facial features of James McIntyre and Ferrell were similar, as were their talents.
It appeared that Ahtun Re had made another plausible past life match. I do not tell Kevin Ryerson what my inquiries will be prior to a session, so he does not have the ability to research questions beforehand.

When I ask for a past lifetime for an individual, Ahtun Re he relates that he goes into a meditative state to tap into the mind of God, which Ahtun Re states is the same as what some call the Akashic Record, a database in the spirit realm.

After doing a little bit of research on the Internet, I found a likely candidate. Carrie Chapman Catt was born in 1859 and died in 1947. She was a suffragette leader who fought for the 19th Amendment, which gave women in the United States the right to vote in 1920.
