Past Life Talent: Dorothy, as a Child, is a Natural Actress and Singer

Dorothy Angelica was born on Sept 24, 2010 in the United States. Her mother, Kira, wrote to me in 2019 regarding her daughter’s past life memories.

Kira related that Dorothy was an entertainer before she learned to talk. Dorothy would jump up and down in her crib to make everyone around her laugh. When Dorothy was 3 and a half years old, she was in a musical production with 30 other children of varying ages. Dorothy stole the show. Other parents admitted to Kira that they ended up video recording Dorothy instead of their own kids, due to Dorothy’s magnetic stage presence.

Kira relates that Dorothy loves to wear bright bows, sometimes ten at a time or more. She is very loud, talkative, bubbly and excitable–wildly popular with everyone.

Dorothy’s music teacher shared with Kira that her daughter has perfect pitch, which means a person is able to re-create a musical tone without a reference tone.

Kira has a Psychic Experience or Vision before Dorothy was Born

When Kira was 8 months pregnant with Dorothy, she was up late at night in her dining room sewing a baby blanket for her child to come. Kira suddenly heard a young voice calling from their kitchen who exclaimed, “Mommy! Mommy!” Kira went to the kitchen, but no one was there. Kira returned to the dining room and her sewing.

Kira then once again heard a child saying, “Mommy,” this time coming from the family’s living room. Kira went to the living room and again, no one was there.

Kira went back to the dining room to continue sewing. She is a spiritual person and speculated that the soul of her future child was communicating to her. After working on the blanket for a few more minutes, Kira looked up at the door going to the kitchen and saw a girl, who appeared to be about 10 years of age.

This girl was wearing a homemade, plaid dress. This girl smiled at Kira and Kira smiled back. The vision of the girl then faded away. Kira felt very happy after this experience. She speculated that this girl was the child that would be born to her. The plaid dress she was wearing was perhaps a something her future daughter wore in a past incarnation.

After Dorothy was born and matured, Kira realized that the girl in her vision was in fact Dorothy.

Announcing Dreams in Reincarnation Cases

Reincarnation research does provide evidence that souls who are about to incarnate into a family can send dreams to members of that family, usually the mother of the incarnating soul, to signal that they will be arriving. Ian Stevenson, MD of the University of Virginia called these “announcing dreams.” Kira seems to have had an “announcing vision.” To review these types of cases, please go to:

Spirit Communication and Announcing Dreams in Reincarnation Cases

Dorothy Remembers Her Past Life Name

When Dorothy was 6 years old, Kira decided to share with her the vision she had of the girl in the plaid dress. Recall that this vision occurred before Dorothy was born.

Kira had taught Dorothy to meditate and upon hearing of her mother’s dream of the girl in the plaid dress, Dorothy decided to meditate to see if she could find out who that girl was in a past life. Dorothy, who again was just 6 years old, had just started kindergarten and had not yet learned to read, nor did she know how to use a computer. As such, she did not have the ability to research possible past life identities though normal means, such as through the Internet.

After a few minutes, Dorothy started rattling off details of a possible life. Kira grabbed a notebook and scribbled down what Dorothy said. Kira documented Dorothy’s statements over time. She thought that her daughter was describing imaginary things, but Kira wrote it all down anyhow.

While Dorothy was sitting on the floor meditating, she suddenly opened her eyes and said:

“Mom, I know who I used to be in a past life. Her name was something like Lizy or Lily, but her REAL name was Alice Pons.”

Though skeptical, Kira Googled these names and found that Lily Pons was an opera singer born in 1898, in France, who enjoyed fame in the 1940’s. When Kira read that Lily’s birth name was Alice, Kira gasped and almost fainted. Kira, though, did not reveal what she found on the Internet to Dorothy, as she wanted to see what else her daughter may say spontaneously.

Kira asked Dorothy about anything else she remembered about this past lifetime.

Dorothy Remembers her Past Life Husband’s Name

Dorothy said that her husband’s name was “Cos Liams.” She said that they had pets and described other details of this past lifetime. Over time, Dorothy added that Lily Pons spoke many languages, played piano, loved to sing and was a professional singer by the age of 22. Dorothy said Lily had a music room in her house, loved wild cats and the singing of birds.

A Past Life Cancer produces Abdominal Pain

Kira noted that at this point in her daughter’s life, Dorothy had developed frequent, very painful stomach aches. Dorothy herself stated to her mother:

“Ever since you started talking about dying and being reborn, I started having a terrible stomach ache, and I feel sad. I might throw up, Mom. It feels like I had a bad stomach in my past life. Very bad. It makes me sad.”

One night, when she was having one of these fits, Dorothy declared, “Now I know what Lily Pons died from, Mom. She died from a bad stomach ache!” That was Dorothy’s last stomach ache.

Kira researched and found that Lily Pons had died from pancreatic cancer, which does cause abdominal pain. Upon reading this, Kira’s hair stood on end!

Dorothy Recognizes her Past Life Photo

Kira finally shared with Dorothy what she had learned about Lilly Pons on the Internet and showed her a photo of Pons, which prompted Dorothy to exclaim: “Hey! That was me! Now you’ve seen me with short hair, mom!”

The Life of Alice “Lily” Pons

Alice Joséphine Pons was born in France on April 12, 1898.  She first studied piano at the Paris Conservatory, winning the First Prize at the age of 15. She went on to become an operatic singer and actress who went by the professional name of Lily Pons. She moved to New York City and performed with the Metropolitan Opera from 1931 to 1960, had television appearances such as on the Ed Sullivan Show and she made dozens of musical recordings. A town in Maryland, Lilypons, was named after her.

Lily was married twice. Her second husband was conductor Andre Kostelanetz, which corresponds to Dorothy’s memory of being married to a man whose name was “Cos Liams.”

Alice “Lily” Pons died on Feb 13, 1976 at the age of age 77, about 35 years before Dorothy was born.

Evidence and Principles of Reincarnation-Understanding Past Lives

Physical Resemblance in Reincarnation Cases: The facial features of Alice Pons and Dorothy Angelica are similar.

Past Life Talent, Behavior and Abilities: The singing and acting talent of Alice Pons is being replicated in the persona of Dorothy Angelica.

Change of Nationality: Alice Pons was born in England, while Dorothy Angelica was born in the United States. Understanding that nationality and ethnic affiliation can change from one lifetime to another can help a more peaceful world, as most conflicts and wars are based on differences in these cultural markers of identity.

Spirit Beings in Reincarnation Cases: Kira Angelica had a vision of her daughter to be born. When Dorothy matured in age, Kira realized that the girl in her vision in the plaid dress did resemble Dorothy.

Ian Stevenson, MD of the University of Virginia called dreams that foretold an incarnation as “announcing dreams.”

The Power of Souls: Twins are Murdered and then Reincarnate as Twins Again-Planning Lifetimes and The Past Life Cases of the Tripathi Twins and Ramoo and Rajoo

The Lives of Bhimsen and Pitamah

The Tripathi twins, Bhimsen and Pitamah, were born in the village of Uncha Larpur in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, in 1935. Their father was Pandit Kali Shanker, a farmer, and their mother was named Ram Devi. The twins had an older brother whose name was Chandra. The family were Brahmins, the highest caste or social class of Indian culture.  The twins very close to one another and went everywhere together.

Bhimsen was the more intelligent twin, who advanced in school up to the sixth grade. As he could read and write, in adulthood, he worked part-time as the secretary of the village of Uncha Larpur. Bhimsen was considered the more aggressive of the boys.

In contrast, Pitamah was considered more simple. He never went to school.

Though both twins were good-natured, they were known to be strong, brave and would not run from a fight when provoked. They kept a licensed gun in the home of their mother, Ram Devi, which was hung on a peg on a wall.

Like their father, Bhimsen and Pitamah became farmers, along with their older brother, Chandra. When their father died, his will specified that his land be divided equally between his three sons.

Bhimsen married first and had 3 children. Pitamah married a year later and had one child.

The Murders of Bhimsen and Pitamah

In 1964, when the twins were about 40 years old, a land dispute erupted between them and men named Jagannath and Raja Ram, who lived in the neighboring town of Kurri, which was a 1 kilometer or about a half mile away from Uncha Larpur.

Jagannath had built an earthen dike on land that the twins considered their own. In retaliation, the twins knocked down the dike and then dammed up a stream that irrigated land owned by Jagannath and Raja Ram.

Jagannath and Raja Ram planned revenge on the twins. They pretended that they forgave Bhimsen and Pitamah for destroying their dike and blocking the stream that irrigated their land. Under the pretense of wanting to settle a separate financial matter, Jagannath and Raja Ram invited the twins to the home of Jagannath, in the nearby town of Kurri.

When Bhimsen and Pitamah arrived, their hosts were affectionate and gave the twins milk to drink. Suddenly, a number of men came into the room and attacked the twins. First, they threw a corrosive liquid, likely acid, into the eyes of the twins to blind them.

They then subdued the twins by tying them up with ropes. While the twins were on the floor, the men pressed down on their chests and stomachs with wooden poles. Poles placed across the twin’s necks were used to strangulate them.

The Bodies of Bhimsen and Pitamah are Thrown into a Well

The attackers then threw the twins, Bhimsen and Pitamah, still bound with ropes, into a well. The twins were last seen on April 28, 1964.

Four days later, on May 2, 1964, the decomposed bodies of the twins were discovered in the well. The police who pulled the bodies out of the well determined that the twins were killed by strangulation. By the time an autopsy was done, the bodies, exposed to the heat of India, were too far decomposed for a cause of death to be determined by the coroner.

The twins, Bhimsen and Pitamah, were thought to have been killed on or about on April 28, 1964. Jagannath was about 45 years of age when of the the twins were murdered.

The Murderers are Aquitted for Lack of Testimony and Evidence, then Brag About Their Deeds

Police arrested 9 known enemies of Bhimsen and Pitamah, who stood trial for the murder of the twins. Because these 9 defendants were likely involved in the murders, none would testify against each other. As such, without willing witnesses or other evidence, the 9 defendants were acquitted and went free.

Encouraged and emboldened by their acquittal, the participants of the murders of Bhimsen and Pitamah started to talk about their crime. They admitted that they had thrown a corrosive liquid into the eyes of the twins. They also revealed that they then used wooden poles to pin the bodies of the twins onto the floor. Wooden poles were then used to press on the throats of Bhimsen and Pitamah to suffocate them. The murderers then bragged about throwing the bodies of the twins into a well.

Bhimsen and Pitamah Reincarnate as Another Set of Twins-Ramoo and Rajoo

4 months later after Bhimsen and Pitamah were killed, in August 1964, another set of twins were born in the village of Sham Nagara, which is 16 kilometers or about 10 miles from Uncha Larpur, the past life home of Bhimsen and Pitahmah. There was a primitive road that ran between the villages of Uncha Larpur and Sham Nagara, that could only be traversed in good weather.

Sham Nagara had a population of only about 100. The twins’ father was Pan Ram Swaroop and their mother was named Kapuri.

Announcing Dreams involving Two Children

Kapuri had 2 dreams prior to the birth of her twin sons, in which 2 children were involved. Though Kapuri did not place much importance in these dreams, they may have been predicting that she would have twins.

Ramoo and Rajoo Want to Go to Their Past Life Home, Uncha Larpur

Their parents named their twins Ramoo and Rajoo. When they were 2 years old, they began to speak in an organized manner.

In the first indication that they remembered past lives, Ramoo and Rajoo ran off to the main highway in their town. When they were brought back to their house, their parents asked why they ran off. The twins answered that they were trying to get back to their home. The twins expressed a strong desire to go to Uncha Larpur before they said anything about their past lives.

Past Life Memories are Stimulated by the Twin’s Recognition of an Acquaintance from Uncha Larpur

At 3 years of age, the twins, Rajoo and Ramoo saw a man from the village of Uncha Larpur whose name was Shiv Narain. The young twins touched his feet in a sign of respect. The twins’ uncle chastised them for this act on an unknown stranger. They replied that they recognized this man from their past lives in Uncha Larpur.

The recognition of this man stimulated past life memories in the twins. In discussing their past incarnations, Rajoo and Ramoo often spoke together. When one started to make a statement, the other twin would finish the sentence. As such, it was often difficult to distinguish which twin said what.

Past Life Statements

Ramoo and Rajoo made the following statements regarding their remembered past lives as Bhimsen and Pitamah:

Rajoo and Ramoo said that in their past lives their names had been Bhimsen and Pitamah. More specifically, Ramoo said his name was Bhimsen, while Rajoo said that his name had been Pitamah.

Though Pitamah | Rajoo was considered the less intelligent twin in both lifetimes, Rajoo was the one who offered the most details of the twins’ past lives.

The twins said that in their past incarnations they had a brother named Chandra and that they lived in the village of Uncha Larpur.

The twins said that they had studied up to the sixth grade under a teacher named Thakur Tilak Singh, in village of Marhana. These statements were true for Ramoo, who was Bhimsen in a past life.

The twins said one of them had married a girl from Bahawalpur and the other had married a woman from Atrauli. Bhimsen | Ramoo had indeed married a woman from Bahawalpur, while Pitamah | Rajoo had married a girl from Atrauli.

The twins said that one of them had son named Netra Kishore, which was true for Bhimsen | Ramoo.

The twins said that one of them had a son named Drona, short for Dronacharya, which was true for true for Pitamah | Rajoo.

The twins said that they owned 60 bighas of land (there are about 7 bighas to an acre), which was essentially correct for the amount of land Bhimson and Pitamah had owned.

They said that one of them wore a ring, which was true of Bhimsen | Ramoo.

The twins said that they owned a licensed gun. Further, Rajoo said that the gun was placed on a peg on a wall in the room of their past life mother, Ram Devi. Rajoo added that a belt with bullet cartridges was also kept hanging on the wall near the gun. These statements were accurate, as the gun and cartridge belt owned by Bhimsen and Pitamah were indeed kept in the room of their mother, Ram Devi.

Rajoo and Ramoo Remember their Past Life Murders

Rajoo was the first twin who spoke about their past life murders, stating that a village leader in Kurri named Jagannath, with his friend Raja Ram, killed the twins in their past lives.

Rajoo said that in their past lives, they dismantled an irrigation trough that watered the fields owned by Jagannath and Raja Ram.

Rajoo said that Jagannath was angry at first about the destruction of the irrigation trough, but later became friendly. When the twins were invited to the home of Jagannath in Kurri. Rajoo said when they arrived, Jagannath sent the women of the house away. Rajoo said Jagannath was initially affectionate to the twins and gave Bhimsen and Pitamah milk to drink.

When they twins started to drink the milk, they were surrounded by a group of men who grabbed them. Rajoo added that the men threw acid into their eyes to blind them. The attacking men and then tied the twins up with ropes.

Rajoo said that his past life brother, Bhimsen, got loose from the ropes and escaped from the house, but returned when Bhimsen realized that his brother, Pitimah | Rajoo, was still in the house and was being killed. Rajoo added that another assailant was named Hori Lal.

These statements regarding the murders of the twins were accurate, based on what the murderers themselves told others after their trial ended in acquittal. Recall that there were 9 men who stood trial for the murder of the twins, including Jagannath, Raja Ram and Hori Lal.

Rajoo added that they, the past life twins, were then placed into sacks and were subsequently thrown into a well. Ian Stevenson noted that when the bodies were found in the well, they were not in sacks. Stevenson thought it was plausible that sacks were used to hide the bodies while they were being transported from Jagannath’s home in Kurri to the site of the well.

Most sacks in the area, used for transporting crops, have the name of the owner printed on them. In disposing the bodies of Bhimsen and Pitamah, it would be necessary to remove the sacks to avoid incrimination.

The twins continued to talk about their past lives at least up to 9 years of age.

The Twin’s Parents Repress Ramoo and Rajoo’s Past Life Memories

The parents of Ramoo and Rajoo made no attempts to verify their twins’ past life memories and never took them to Uncha Larpur, as there is a superstition in northern India that predicted grave misfortune to children who remember past lives. One such consequence included that these children would die young. As such, parents would repress children’s past life memories by gentle suppression or even by physical punishment, such as beating the child.

The parents of Ramoo and Rajoo thought it was appropriate to beat the twins whenever they started talking about their previous lives. When this did not work, they switched to the lesser demand that the children not talk about their past incarnations outside of the family. In addition, the twins’ parents and told them to deny remembering past lives if strangers asked. They made an exception for Ian Stevenson’s interviews

Another reason that the parents of Ramoo and Rajoo suppressed their sons’ past life memories was concern that the murderers of the past life twins could intervene and harm Ramoo and Rajoo to suppress testimony regarding the killings.

Ramoo and Rajoo Spontaneously Recognize their Past Life Mother and Brother

Verification of the twins’ past life memories only occurred when those who knew Bhimsen and Pitamah heard about the past life recall of Ramoo and Rajoo. For example, Ram Devi, the past life mother, came to see the reincarnated brothers in Sham Nagara. Ramoo and Rajoo recognized her on sight and both the twins and Ram Devi wept when they met.

The older brother of Bhimsen and Pitamah, Chandra, also came to see Ramoo and Rajoo, who the twins also recognized on sight. In fact, Chandra was a primary source of verifications of the reincarnated twins’ past life memories.

Ramoo and Rajoo Confront their Past Life Murderers

Just as their parents feared, a number of the alleged murderers came to Sham Nagara to meet Ramoo and Rajoo, who the twins did recognize. Stevenson speculated that the murderers must have been lured by a combination of curiosity and anxiety. Stevenson was not able to get information on how this meeting between Ramoo and Rajoo and their past life murderers went, but Stevenson noted it could not have been pleasant.

Past Life Behaviors and Abilities

Ramoo was considered the more intelligent twin. In contrast, Rajoo was assessed to be simple. This corresponds to the natures of the past life twins, as Bhimsen | Ramoo was more intelligent and went to school, where he learned to read and write. Pitabah | Rajoo, on the other hand, never went to school. It is interesting that that the twin who was considered less intelligent, Rajoo, was on the one who first accessed past life memories.

Ramoo and Rajoo were constantly together, just as were Bhimsen and Pitamah, and they showed much affection for each other. One would not eat unless the other was also present to share the meal. If one twin went somewhere by himself, the other would call him to come back.

Ramoo and Rajoo also had the tendency to confront a situation aggressively, much like Bhimsen and Pitamah did. As an example, when a low-caste person, who knew Bhimsen and Pitamah, traveled from Uncha Larpur to Sham Nagara meet these reincarnated twins, this low-caste person taunted the twins regarding their defeat in a past life brawl or dispute. Ramoo and Rajoo then became furious and rushed towards their antagonist and exclaimed:  “God has made a small, but we can still devour you.”

Another incident in which the young twins showed bravado occurred when a villager from Uncha Larpur came to Sham Nagara to meet the brothers. Ramoo and Rajoo recognized this person, who they apparently had a past life quarrel with.

Ramoo ran up to this person and shouted: “Why have you come here?” The visitor replied with an insulting remark and Ramoo then picked up a brick to throw at the visitor, but someone intervened and prevented Ramoo from launching this weapon. Recall that Bhimsen | Ramoo was the more aggressive of the past life twins, demonstrating a parallel in temperament.

Ramoo and Rajoo Meet their Past Life Sons and Act in a Paternal Manner

When the reincarnated young twins met their past life sons, they took on a paternal attitude.

Their past life children were addressed by the reincarnated twins as “sons.” They also said that Bhimsen’s son should occasionally pay a visit to the native village of Bhimsen’s wife.

When the past life sons told the reincarnated twins that their past life house had decayed and had become decrepit, the twins instructed their past life sons to rebuild the house with proper care.

Past Life Birthmarks

Ramoo and Rajoo had pigmented or dark streaks, about 2 millimeters wide, that ran horizontally across their lower chests and abdomens. Ramoo had 5 such marks, while Rajoo had 2 marks. Their mother, Kapuri, said that these dark, horizontal streaks were present from birth.

Ian Stevenson speculated that these birthmarks could have been due to the ropes used to tie up Bhimsen and Pitimah. Alternately, the birthmarks could have resulted from the poles used to press the Bhimsen and Pitimah against the floor and suffocate the twins.

Ian Stevenson, MD Determines the Families in these Reincarnation Cases Had No Prior Contact

Stevenson noted though the village of the past life twins, Uncha Larpur, and that of the reborn twins, Sham Nagara, were only 10 miles apart, he found that there was no social connection or any interactions between the two families before Ramoo and Rajoo spontaneously started talking about their past lives.

Chandra, the older brother of Bhimsen and Pitamah, told Stevenson that he and his family had never been to Sham Nagara prior to the emergence of the past life memories of Ramoo and Rajoo, and that they had no friends or family members in Sham Nagara.

In sum, Ian Stevenson concluded that Ramoo and Rajoo had no way to know about Bhimsen and Pitamah through normal means.

Principles of Reincarnation and Understanding Past Lives

Planning Lifetimes and Relationships Renewed through Reincarnation: The twins Bhimsen and Pitamah reincarnated as the twins Ramoo and Rajoo. These cases demonstrate the extraordinary ability of souls to plan lifetimes to be reincarnated with loved ones.

Birthmarks Associated with Past Lives: Ian Stevenson hypothesized that the horizontal pigmented lines that Ramoo and Rajoo were born with on their chests and abdomens reflected marks made by ropes used to tie up Bhimsen and Pitamah, or the poles used to pin them to the ground.

Spirit Beings in Reincarnation Cases: The mother of Ramoo and Rajoo, Kapuri, had dreams before they were born in which two children were involved, possibly foreshadowing the birth of her twins. It appears that from the spirit world, Bhimsen and Pitamah where announcing that they would be reborn as the children of Kapuri.

Split Incarnation or Parallel Lives: Ramoo and Rajoo were born only 4 months after Bhimsen and Pitamah were murdered. If souls are involved in the process of conception, which I believe is true, then the souls of Bhimsen | Ramoo and Pitamah | Rajoo were animating two bodies at a time.

The Burmese Family of Thi, His Son Htwe and Daughter-In-Law Kyi During the WW II Japanese Occupation

During World War II, the Japanese invaded and occupied the country of Burma, which is now known as Myanmar.

On March 3, 1945, the British Army, fighting the Japanese, captured the Burmese town of Meiktila. The British then marched south towards the city of Pyawbe, encountering strong resistance from the retreating Japanese Army. The British captured Pyawbe on April 10, 1945.

Minlan, a village 3 kilometers or about 2 miles south of Pyawbe, was subsequently bombed by the Allies. As the Allied bombings occurred during daylight, Burmese villagers would flee their homes at sunrise and escape to the countryside to escape the bombings. The villagers then returned to their houses under the cover of night.

A couple that lived in Minlan during this time were U Chit Htwe, who worked as a blacksmith, and his wife, Daw Khin Kyi. The father of U Chit Htwe, whose name was U Shwe Thi, lived with the couple. For simplicity we will refer to the husband as Htwe, the wife as Kyi and Htwe’s father as Thi.

At sunrise, Htwe and Kyi would go to a pagoda, a Buddhist temple, in the countryside, to escape the horrors of war. Perhaps due to his age, Htwe’s father, Thi, remained at their home in Minlan to look after their property.

On about April 17, 1945, Minlan village endured an Allied bombing attack. It was about 3 PM in the afternoon when Allied planes bombed, and also strafed Minlan with machine gun fire.

Two Japanese Brother Soldiers Die on the Property of a Burmese Family and Reincarnate as Twin Girls, Born to the Burmese Woman Who Lived where the Brothers Died

Reincarnation Japanese Soldier, Gender Identity Issues, P 38During this attack, Thi, the father of Htwe, observed two Japanese soldiers, armed with rifles, hand grenades and knives, running from the Allied aircraft attack towards the family’s property, which featured two tamarind trees. Thi thought the Japanese soldiers intended to kill him, so Thi jumped into a trench that his family had previously dug as a shelter from the weapons of war.

After the Allied attack from the air was over, Thi emerged from the trench and saw that the entirety of Minlan villiage was in flames. He saw that the two Japanese soldiers that had been advancing to his position had been killed and that they and their weapons were lying on the ground near the tamarind trees. Thi then ran from this carnage to the family’s refuge in the countryside at the Buddhist pagoda.

Three days after the attack on Minlan, Thi, his son Htwe and Htwe’s wife, Kyi, returned to the village to see what had become of their home. They found that their house had been destroyed by fire, but that the two tamarind trees of the property were still standing. These trees were  about 10 meters or yards from their home.

Thi observed that the bodies of the two Japanese soldiers who had been killed near the tamarind trees had been removed. Japanese trucks had been destroyed and the bodies of other Japanese soldiers had been burned to death. The weapons of the deceased Japanese soldiers were absent, presumably taken by Burmese villagers.

As such, the deaths of the two Japanese soldiers who were killed during the Allied air attack on Minlan occurred around April 17, 1945.

Xenoglossy: Kyi, the Burmese Wife, Gives Birth to Twin Girls, Who Remember Past Lives as Japanese Soldiers and Who Speak a Foreign Language

About 7 months later on November 17, 1959, in Minlan, Kyi, at 22 years of age, gave birth to twin, fraternal girls, who Htwe and Kyi named Ma Khin San and Ma Khin Yin. For simplicity, we will refer to the twins girls as San and Yin.

When the twins developed the ability to speak at 3 years of age, they spoke in a language that their Burmese family did not understand. They did not talk to their parents about their remembered past lives until 10 years later, when they were 13 years of age. The girls featured in the image to the right are wearing thakana paste on their faces, which is a beauty aid used in Burma.

In the Burmese language, the twins, when they were 13 years old, made statements referring to past lives as Japanese brothers, soldiers who were killed in Burma during the war. The twins said that they were killed near the house that they had been born in.

Burmese Twin Girls San and Yin Recall their Past Lives as Japanese Soldiers

San said that she, in her past life, was the older brother to Yin. Specifically, San said that she was 3 years older than Yin in their past lives. In agreement, Yin reported to her family that she had been the younger brother of San.

The twins reported that when San was 15 years old in her past lifetime, and Yin was 12 years old in her past incarnation, their father died. They said that they then lived with their mother, who did not have to work as she had independent wealth. They expressed much love for their past life mother. They remembered that their house in Japan faced south and that their roof was made of corrugated iron.

Burmese Twin Girls Remember Enlisting in the Japanese Army in their Past Lives

San related that when she was 18 years old in her past lifetime, she, as a Japanese teenager, decided to serve as a volunteer in the Japanese army. San’s younger past life brother, Yin, did not want to be separated from her older brother and despite the objections of their mother, also enlisted in the Japanese army.

Yin, though she was girl in her contemporary life, said regarding her past life decision: “He was determined to live or die together with his brother.”

They both, in their past lives, thought it was admirable to die for their country, Japan. They related that they had one year of military training in Japan and then were sent abroad to fight in the war.

The twins stated that they remembered fighting in Burma when the older brother was 25 years old and the younger 22. They related that neither of them had married before they deployed for the war.

The twins also related that San, the older Japanese brother, had an insignia of three lines and three stars, whereas the younger brother, Yin, only wore one star. The twins also reported that Yin, the younger brother, was taller than the older brother, San.

The twins stated that in their past Japanese lives, they were armed with long swords, revolvers and grenades. The twins stated they served in the same unit and were always together.

Burmese Twin Girls Remember The Past Life Allied Air Attack that Led to their Deaths

The twins remembered that the Japanese retreated from Meiktila and that they found themselves in Minlan village. They recalled the Allied air attack on Minlan and that they ran for shelter in between two tamarind trees. They related that they sprawled on the ground in a small space between the trees. The twins stated they were killed in this spot, which was close to where they were reborn.

After Life Communication: After Death, the Japanese Soldiers Visit their Mother in Japan, Who Cannot Perceive Them

The Burmese twins recalled that as they were dying as Japanese soldiers in their past lives, they thought of their mother in Japan and called for her help.

After dying, the twins said that they found themselves instantly in Japan where they saw their mother, but they could not communicate with her as she could not see or hear them. They felt sad and frustrated.

The twins related that they did not remember what happened to them after this moment with their past life mother until the age of three, at which time they began to remember their previous lives as if, “They were awakened from a dream.”

After the twins disclosed their past life memories to their family, they expressed nostalgia for Japan and voiced their desire to return to Japan. This plea to return to Japan continued until they were 16 years of age. This behavior was very unusual, as most Burmese despised the Japanese for the atrocities that they had committed against the Burmese population during WW II.

Burmese Female Twins Demonstrate Masculine Behavior Related to their Past Lives as Male Japanese Soldiers

Though the twins were female, they both demonstrated masculine behavior at least until they were 17 years of age. For example, they both preferred to wear trousers or pants rather than dresses.

Ian Stevenson, MD also noted in his documentation of these cases that the twins demonstrated “Japanese behavior.” For example, the twins showed marked animosity towards the British and Americans. They complained about the heat in Burma and the spiciness of the food. The twins also had hot tempers and when angry, they would slap the face of those who annoyed them. Slapping of the face by Japanese soldiers was frequently observed by the Burmese when the Japanese soldiers felt disrespected by subordinates.

Burmese Female Twins have Physical Traits Reflecting their Past Lives as Male Japanese Soldiers

Ian Stevenson noted that the physiques of the twins seemed to match their past life personas.

For example, Tin, who recalled being the younger Japanese brother, was 4 cm or about 2 inches taller than Yin. This corresponded to the different heights of the Japanese brothers whose lives they remembered.

Evidence and Principles of Reincarnation-Understanding Past Lives

Planning of Lifetimes and Relationships Renewed through Reincarnation: Two Japanese brothers who died together in WW II reincarnated as twin girls. Ian Stevenson, MD compiled 31 sets of twins who recalled their past lives in childhood. In 100 percent of these cases, the twins had significant past life relationships, demonstrating how souls plan lifetimes to be reunited with loved ones. To learn more, please go to:

Change of Nationality and Ethnic Affiliation: The Japanese brothers who fought the Burmese died and reincarnated into the ethnic population that they had fought against, demonstrating how war is self-defeating.

Change of Gender in Reincarnation Cases: The Japanese male soldiers who fought the Burmese, reincarnated as Burmese twin girls. The girls demonstrated masculine behavior.

A similar case involving a Japanese soldier who was reborn as a girl to a Burmese mother, in which the girl demonstrated male traits, even to the point of becoming a lesbian, can be reviewed at the following page:

A Japanese Male Soldier, a Cook, Reincarnates as Burmese Girl

Xenoglossy: As children, San and Yin were overheard speaking to each other in a language their parents did not understand. It is likely that the twins were speaking in their past life language, Japanese.

Physical Resemblance in Reincarnation Cases: Though there was no documentation of facial features in these cases, the heights of the Japanese soldiers corresponded to their reincarnations as twins.

Spirit Beings in Reincarnation Cases: The twins reported after they were killed as the Japanese soldiers, they found themselves with their mother in Japan. They tried to communicate with their mother, but she could not perceive them.

The Lives and Deaths of U Maung Muang and Daw Aye Hla

The name of the grandfather in this case was U Maung Maung and the grandmother was Daw Aye Hla.  For simplicity, we will refer to the grandfather as Maung and the grandmother as Daw. The couple lived in Burma, which today is known as Myanmar.

Maung was ethnically an Indian, of the subcontinent of India, but he adopted a Burmese name. Burma is just east of the northern region of India. On the map of Burma featured to the right, cities involved in this story involve Mandalay, which a hotel and casino in Las Vegas is named for, Rangoon and the city of Pantanaw, which is on the large Irrawaddy River just west of Rangoon. The Irrawaddy river is marked by the blue line. Click on the image to enlarge it.

Maung Considers Himself a Muslim

Maung’s father was a Buddhist, but he died before Maung’s birth. His mother remarried a man who was Islamic, and she converted to the Muslim faith. As such, Maung was raised as a Muslim. He did not learn that his father was a Buddhist until a year before his own death at the age of 44. As such, throughout his life, Maung identified himself as a Muslim.

Maung was intelligent, obtained an education and became a Burmese governmental official. He also had mechanical skills and enjoyed repairing motor engines, cars and even watches. Maung had a gun, which he would use to hunt birds.

He was observed to be honest and straightforward, but was vulnerable to flattery. As such, he was very kind to those who praised him.

Maung raised chickens. He would tie a string to a leg of young chicks and Islam reincarnation past lives cresent moonhe would tie the other end of the string to a post on his property, so that the chicks would not run away. Once the chicks identified the terrain as their home, he would free them, as they would no longer run off.  He did not eat the chickens, rather, he would employ them to lay eggs, which his family ate as a source of food. As a Muslim, he ate meat.

Daw, Maung’s Wife, Condemns his Treatment of Chickens and his Hunting of Birds

Maung married Daw, who was a devout Buddhist. Daw was uneducated and illiterate, but she was headstrong and bossy.

As a Buddhist, Daw considered Maung’s killing of birds with his gun and the binding of chickens by their legs to a post as misdeeds, which would create bad karma for him. Daw told Maung that these practices would cause him punishment in a future life.

Maung and Daw had a daughter, who they named Daw Mya Tin. For simplicity, we shall refer to their daughter as Tin.

Maung the Muslim and Daw the Buddhist Separate

The religious conflict between Maung and Daw became so severe that that the couple decided to separate. They both hoped to reconcile, but this never happened. They had been apart for two years when Maung died in the Burmese town of Pantanaw in 1950, at the age of 44. Pantanaw, just east of Rangoon, is near the large Irrawaddy River, which supplies locals with fish and shrimp as a source of food.

After her husband’s death, Daw started to cough up blood and it was suspected that she had tuberculosis. It was also thought that she may have contracted malaria. She died in the Burmese city of Mandalay in 1954, four years after her husband died.

Tin Receives an Announcing Dream in Which her Parents Reveal That They Would Be Reborn as Her Children.

The daughter of Maung and Daw, Tin, married a man named Thaw and they lived in the town of Ba Htu Myo.

Tin became pregnant and at 4 months of gestation, she had a dream in which her parents appeared and said that they would be reborn as her children.

Tin went into labor at 7 months of her pregnancy and on February 5, 1961, she had twin girls. The twins had different facial features and laboratory testing confirmed that they were fraternal, not identical twins. After the birth of the twins, the family moved to the Burmese city of Rangoon.

The twin girls were named Ma Khin Ma Gyi and Ma Khin Ma Nge. For simplicity, we will refer to them as Gyi and Nge.

Gyi Attributes Her Birth Defects to Her Cruelty Towards Birds in Her Past Life as Maung

Gyi was born with two birth defects. She had a major defect of her left hand in which her fingers appeared to have been amputated. She had a minor defect of her left lower leg in which there was a circular indentation, as if a rope had been forcefully tied round her lower leg which caused the defect of her leg.

Gyi started to speak when she was three years of age. Between ages four and five she began to talk about a previous life as her mother’s father, Maung. She stated that she had been born with the malformation of her left hand because in her lifetime as Maung, she used a gun to kill birds. She said that the circular indentation on her left lower leg was due to her tying chickens by their legs to a post. There was no history of birth defects in the family.

Gyi’s parents observed that she became sad and took on a ‘faraway” look whenever she talked about her past life. As a result, her father adopted a policy of suppressing her talking of a past lifetime. Though Gyi obeyed her father at home, she still spoke about her previous life with her childhood playmates.

In addition, Gyi expressed a desire to go to Pantanaw for the summer because she said there were a lot of shrimp and fish there. Pantanaw is 70 kilometers or 44 miles from Rangoon, where the family lived.

The twins and their parents had never been to Pantanaw, so Gyi could not have known this fact through normal means. Recall that Maung lived in Pantanaw at the time of his death.

Nge Tells Her Parents that She Had Been Daw, Tin’s Mother, in a Previous Life

The twin’s parents often observed their girls identifying each other from their previous lives. Gyi would tell Nge that Nge was Daw in their past lives. Nge would tell Gyi that she was had been Maung. Further, Nge, when speaking to persons outside of the family, would refer to her mother, Tin, as her daughter.

Nge would particularly talk about her previous life when she was scolded. She would object to the individual who scolded her and say that she had been Daw and that she resented being scolded. Nge continued to do so at least until 1972, when the twins were almost 12 years old.

Gyi’s Masculine Behavior and Traits that Reflected Her Past Lifetime as Maung, Her Maternal Grandfather.

Gyi strongly expressed masculine traits. She chose to wear boy’s clothes and did so whenever she could at least up to age of nine. She even asked to have a boy’s suit specially made for her, which was done. She also had her hair cut in the style of a boy.

Gyi preferred to play with toy cars and trucks, rather than dolls, which seemed to reflect Maung’s fondness for repairing engines and cars. She also preferred to play with boys, rather than other girls.

She also showed zeal in catching insects and then crushing them, reflecting Maung’s practice of shooting birds with his gun. Gyi enjoyed eating poultry and wanted to keep chickens at their home, much like Maung did. Maung was ethnically Indian and he enjoyed Indian foods, such as curries, and so did Gyi. In contrast, no one else in Gyi’s family liked Indian food.

Nge’s Feminine Behavior and Traits that Reflect Her Past Lifetime as Daw, Her Maternal Grandmother

In contrast to Gyi, Nge preferred to play with dolls, enjoyed dancing and singing, and she loved flowers. Nge preferred to play with other girls, wore her hair in the style of a girl and she was very concerned about her appearance. She kept herself cleaner than Gyi and Nge eagerly put on Thanaka paste on her face and arms, which is a cosmetic paste made from ground tree bark used by women in Burma as a beauty aid. Gyi, on the other hand, refused to use Thanaka paste.

Nge was respectful of Buddhist monks and participated in giving food to them. Recall Daw was a devout Buddhist. Gyi did not show respect to monks, which reflected Maung’s Muslim faith.

Nge was bossy, especially towards Gyi, which reflected Daw’s bossy behavior towards her husband, Maung. Gyi, in contrast, was compliant.

When the twins entered school, Nge was found to be less intelligent than Gyi, which reflected Daw’s illiteracy. Gyi, recall, was intelligent, educated and worked as a government employee. Nge would not drink coffee, only tea, which reflected Daw’s preferences. Gyi enjoyed coffee and tea, much like Maung.

The Physiques of the Twins Reflect their Past Life Appearances

At 6 years of age, Gyi was taller and had a had a heavier build than Daw. These features corresponded to Gyi’s past life as Maung, a man, and Nge’s past life as Daw, a female.

When Gyi was 13 years old, she stated that she preferred to have been a boy.

Were Gyi’s Birth Defects Due to Karma Related to Past Life Treatment of Birds?

Gyi, as a child, stated that the deformity of her left hand was a consequence of her shooting birds with a gun and that her left lower leg deformity was due to tying chickens to a post during her past life as Maung.

It is unlikely that Gyi’s deformitis were karmic in nature because if everyone who shot or mistreated birds incurred such birth defects, then there would be a large number of such deformities in the general population.

Ian Stevenson, MD speculated that thoughts in a soul’s mind can influence the development of the body during gestation. In other words, if the soul of Maung believed that he would have deformities related to his treatment of birds based on his wife’s admonitions, then these beliefs or thoughts may have been imprinted on Gyi’s developing body to create her birth defects. I too favor this explanation.

Principles of Reincarnation-Understanding of Past Lives

Islam reincarnation past lives cresent moonPhysical Resemblance in Reincarnation Cases: Photographs of Maung and Daw were not provided in Dr. Stevenson’s documentation of these cases, so we do not know if the facial features of Maung | Gyi and Daw | Nge were similar. It was noted, however, that the twins’ physiques mirrored their past life builds.

Change of Gender with Gender Identity Issues: Maung, the grandfather, was a male and reincarnated as one of his daughter’s twin girls, Gyi. Gyi demonstrated masculine traits, including playing with toy cars and wearing boy’s clothing, reflecting het past life as a man. Gyi also remarked that she wished she had been born as a boy.

In the series of over 1500 validated childhood past life memory cases compiled at the University of Virginia, gender change only occurs in 10 percent of cases. When gender change does occur, the individual is often observed to demonstrate behavior typical of the previous gender. Homosexuality can also result, as demonstrated in the:

Change of Religion through Reincarnation: Maung was a Muslim, while Daw was Buddhist. Dr. Stevenson did not document what religion the twin’s parents,  Tin and Thaw, belonged to, but either Maung or Daw reincarnated into a different religion. In Dr. Stevenson’s documentation of the cases involving Maung | Gyi and Daw | Nge, he cited a another set of Burmese cases in which a husband and wife reincarnated as twin boys. This case was documented by Fielding Hall in his book, The Soul of a People, which was published in 1898. Hall noted that the physiques of these twin boys also mirrored their builds in their past lives as husband and spouse.

Stevenson complied 31 sets of twins who had spontaneous past life memories in childhood that were objectively validated. In 100 percent of these cases, the twins had significant past life relationships. To learn more about loved ones who reincarnated as twins, please go to:

Walter Miller Dies in a Car Crash After a Dance

Walter Miller was an amateur artist who started dating a girl named Catherine in high school. Walter did drawings for Catherine. They lived in a small town in Texas. After being together for 3 years, they planned to become engaged and then married.

One evening, Walter and his friend Henry Sullivan went to a dance which took place in a neighboring town. Walter was driving home from the dance when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel. His car ran off the road and crashed. Walter Miller died almost instantaneously from a broken neck. Henry  Sullivan escaped without major injury. The accident in which Walter died occurred in the summer of 1967, while his was a junior in high school.

Though Catherine grieved Walter’s death, about a year later, in June 1968, she married another boyfriend, whose name was Frederick Wright.

A Reincarnation Announcing Dream: Walter Indicates that He will Come Back to Catherine

Not long after her marriage, Catherine had a dream about Walter in which he said he was not dead and that he would come back to her and draw pictures for her once again. Catherine interpreted the dream as meaning that Walter would reincarnate around her. She thought that perhaps Walter would reincarnate as a child of Walter’s sister, Carole Miller, who was pregnant at the time. It did not occur to her Catherine that Walter would reincarnate as her own child.

Catherine and her husband, Frederick, first had a daughter. In 1975, the couple had a son who they named Michael.

Boyfriend Past Life Memories: Micheal Wright describes His Death as Walter Miller

When Michael was three years old, he startled his mother by uttering the name of Walter’s sister, Carole Miller.

Michael later gave a detailed account of Walter’s automobile accident. He said: “A friend and I were in a car, and the car went off the side of the road, rolled over and over. The door came open, and I fell out and was killed.”

An Observation from Heaven: Walter’s Body was Transported Over a Bridge

Michael also said the glass in the car had broken and that he had been carried over a bridge after the accident. He also correctly named the town where the dance took place that they were returning from on a highway.

Michael added that he and his friend had stopped at a restroom on their way home prior to his fatal accident. He said that his friend’s name was Sullivan and he correctly reported Henry Sullivan’s nickname. Michael also gave accurate information regarding Walter’s home and the home of Henry Sullivan.

Catherine knew these statements were correct based on a newspaper article regarding Walter’s accident, which included a photograph of the wrecked car. The ambulance that transported Walter’s body had indeed crossed a bridge on its way to the morgue.

Principles of Reincarnation-Understanding Past Lives

Relationships Renewed through Reincarnation: Walter Miller was torn from his beloved girlfriend Catherine by a fatal automobile accident, but returned to her as her son, Michael.

Spirit Beings in Reincarnation Cases: Michael knew that Walter’s body was transported over a bridge after the accident. As this occurred after Walter’s death, his soul appears to have witnessed this event from the spirit world. In addition, the soul of Walter | Michael sent an announcing dream to Catherine indicating that he would come back to her through reincarnation.

Reincarnation Case of Lugdi Chaubey | Shanti Devi Mathur and the Orb Phenomenon

How Derived: Past Life Memories in Childhood

Researchers: Committee of Inquiry convened by Mahatma Gandhi

From: I Have Lived Before: The True Story of the Reincarnation of Shanti Devi by Sture Lonnerstrand

Article by: Walter Semkiw, MD

The Life and Death of Lugdi Devi

Lugdi Devi, which means “heavenly doll,” was born on January 18, 1902 in the town of Mathura, also known by locals as Muttra, which is located about 15 miles south of New Delhi. Her father’s name was Chaturbhuj and her mother’s name was Jagti Devi.

Lugdi was a very devout girl who worshiped the Hindu god Krishna. Muttra is considered the home city of Krishna and the Dvarkadish Temple there was built in Krishna’s honor.

When she was old enough to wed, her father, Chaturbhuj , who was poor, went into debt to provide a dowry substantial enough for her to marry a wealthy citizen, Kedar Nath Chaubey. Kedar was a Brahmin, a member of the highest caste in India.

Lugdi and Kedar were married during the Navaratri festival in Muttra. Kedar had a cousin named Kanji Mal Chaubey, who lived with the couple.

Lugdi became pregnant. She had a difficult pregnancy and had much pain during the period of gestation. On September 25, 1925, she bore a son who the couple named Naunita Lal Chaubey. There were complications to the pregnancy and on October 4, 1925, Lugdi died.

Ludgi Reincarnates as Shanti Devi Mathur

Fourteen months later after Lugdi died, a girl was born in New Delhi. Her mother’s was Prem Pyari Mathur and her father was Rang Bahadur Mathur. The couple named their daughter Shanti Devi Mathur.

After her fourth birthday, Shanti started to talk about a past life husband. She said: “I am a Brahmin wife from Muttra.” She related that her husband was waiting for her in Muttra.

Like in many childhood past life memory cases, she told her parents that this was not her real home. She added that the clothes that she was wearing were not her real clothes.

In addition, Shanti told Prem that “you are not my real mama” and that “you don’t look like her.” Though her family was not vegetarian, she told her parents that “in Muttra we don’t eat meat.” She said that it was not right to kill animals. She said that she wanted “sattvic” food. Her parents had no idea how she knew that word, as they never used it. Sattvic foods are obtained without harming an organism and as such, are vegetarian foods. Only Sattvic foods are acceptable as offerings to Hindu gods.

Shanti had friends who were twins, named Prabhash and Subhash. Their father was a prosperous attorney, Tara Chand Mathur. When Shanti was with the twins she drew a picture of a temple. Prabhash noted it did not look like the temple in their neighborhood. Shanti replied that she drew the Dvarkadish Temple in Muttra. She added that her husband has a large store in near this temple.

Shanti Reveals Her Past Life Address

Shanti related that she danced for her husband while wearing ankle bracelets, which are called chureys. She said that they lived on a street named after her husband’s family, specifically, the ninth house on Chaubey Street in Muttra. She also stated that her name was not Shanti Devi, but Lugdi Devi. When she was eight years of age, Shanti revealed that her past life husband’s name was Kedar Nath. She related that in her past life, her father’s name was Chaturbhuj and her mother’s name was Jagti.

With this address, 9 Chaubey Street, the past life name of Lugdi Devi Chaubey and the past life husband’s name of Kedar Nath Chaubey, there arose a way to research Shanti’s claimed past life.

The headmaster of the school that Shanti attended, whose name was Lala Kishan Chand, and a teacher, Bishan Chand, heard about her claims of having a husband in Muttra. They concluded that Shanti’s statements referred to a past lifetime. Lala Kishan Chand  took the initiative to write a letter to Kedar Nath Chaubey at 9 Chaubey Street in Mattra regarding this hypothesis.

Shanti’s Past Life Husband sends an Envoy

The headmaster was rewarded by receiving a reply from Kedar that he indeed had a wife named Lugdi Devi and that he has a store near the Dvarkadish temple, as Shanti had reported. Kedar related that he has a cousin in New Delhi whose name is Kanji Mal Chaubey, who he has written to asking that Kanji to meet this girl who claims to be his reincarnated wife.

When Shanti was still eight years old, Kanji Mal Chaubey went to meet her at her home in New Delhi. As soon as he entered their house, Shanti stated: “You are my husband’s cousin.”

Shanti added that Kedar is her husband and that he is a businessman in Muttra. She told Kanji that he lived with us when I was Lugdi Devi. You had difficulty trying to find a home you liked and that is why you wanted to stay with us. I remember more and more now. You didn’t want to work for Kedar because you wanted to be independent. All this was true.

Kanji then asked, how many brothers did your husband have. Shanti then replied that her husband only has one brother, which was true. Kanji then asked whether the brother was older or younger than Kedar. Shanti replied older, which was accurate.

Shanti then said she remembered his name, Kanji Mal Chaubey, which was correct.  Kanji then related that he came to meet Shanti as a skeptic, but that he was now a believer. He wrote to his cousin, Kedar, to come visit this girl.

Shanti’s Past Life Husband Arrives with a Disguise

Kedar did travel from Muttra to New Delhi to meet Shanti, but to test her, he decided to go in a disguise. When he appeared at the Mathur home, he introduced himself as Ram Chaubey, the brother-in-law of Kedar.

ReincarnationResearchPregnantShanti, though, recognized him and said that he is Kedar Nath Chaubey. After that, a boy entered the house. Shanti knew that he was her son from her past lifetime. She related that this is my son, my beloved Naunita Lal. After a moment of confusion and rejection of Shanti, Naunita returned and they embraced.

Shanti then asked whether Kedar kept his promise to her. Kedar asked what he had promised. Shanti responded: “On my deathbed you promised me you would never get married again.” Kedar confessed that he was not able to keep this vow.

Shanti Recalls a Past Life Infidelity and a Special Sexual Position

Shanti then told Kedar how she remembered how he betrayed her. When she was enduring the difficult pregnancy with Naunita Lal, she observed that the nurse that had been hired to take care of her as Lugdi had a romance with her husband, Kedar. Though she had a bone splinter in her foot, which made it difficult to walk, she managed to make her way from her room to where she saw Kedar and the nurse embracing each other in another room.

Kedar was astonished that Shanti knew of this occurrence and asked Shanti for forgiveness. Kedar, in shame, acknowledged that this was all true.

Shanti them revealed that she remembered that when she was pregnant and great pain, Kedar still wanted to have sex with her. Shanti related that due to discomfort, she could only have intercourse in a particular position and that Kedar almost forced himself on her. Kedar, in embarrassment, recoiled and asked: “How do you know about that?” After she revealed her memories of the nurse and the special sex position, Kedar again asked for Shanti’s forgiveness.

Mahatma Gandhi Convenes a Panel to Research the Shanti Devi Reincarnation Case

Mahatma Gandhi heard about the past life case involving Shanti Devi Mathur and went to visit her in New Delhi. It was an extraordinary event when Gandhi came to the home of the Mathur family. Gandhi encouraged Shanti to travel to Muttra with an esteemed panel of men, including the attorney, Tara Chad Mathur, to investigate this reincarnation case.

Shanti Spontaneously Recognizes Past Life Relatives in Muttra

On November 25, 1935, a party of 15 people from New Delhi traveled with Shanti, who was still eight years old, to Muttra. At the train platform in Muttra, Shanti recognized an older man, ran to him and placed her arms around his legs. She told the party that his man was her brother-in-law when she was Lugdi. She asked the man if he had taken care of her holy basil plant, as he had promised. The man related that is name was Ram Chaubey, that she was Lugdi’s brother-in-law and that he indeed promised to take care of Lugdi’s plant before she died.

Shanti then started to lead the group to her past life home. The group waved down several taxis and as the caravan made its way, Shanti had her cab driver stop near a narrow street with trees, indicating that they could walk from this point. Shanti explains that they were going to the first home that Lugdi and Kedar lived in when they were newly married.

On the way, Shanti recognized another elderly man, ran to him and kissed his hands. She explained to the group that this is her past life father-in-law, Mahadev Chaubey. She said to him: “It was you, babu Mahadev, who gave me my chureys, my ankle bracelets. Do you remember? You said: ‘She shall dance in Krishna’s honor, she is as agile as a gopi, one of those pure girls who love God.’ You appreciated my dancing.”

Mahadev admitted, “Those were my own words. Then you have returned, Lugdi Devi. Blessed be the Lord.”

Geographic Memory: Shanti Finds her Past Life Homes

Shanti then scurried down the road, excitedly relating that her past life home was nearby and that it is yellow. When she arrived at the house, she was disappointed to she that the house was white, not yellow. The door was open and Shanti went straight in. Inside, a man explained that he was renting this house from Kedar Nath Chaubey. When they first occupied the home, it was yellow, but they had painted the exterior white at their own cost. Shanti then showed the group where her and her husband’s rooms were and where their beds were located. The tenant related that when they initially inspected the house they did observe the layout of the couple’s rooms and that Shanti’s description was accurate.

The group now traveled on to 9 Chaubey Street, the location where Kedar and Lugdi lived at the time of Lugdi’s death. On that street, Shanti ran to a young man and stated: “It’s my brother. Nuthura Nath.” “My brother and I were so alike” She related to him: “You became angry when people thought you were like your sister, do you remember?”

The young man nodded and asked her if she knows the names of her other two brothers. Shanti corrected responded Vitala Nath and Ayodhya Nath.

When they approached 9 Chaubey Street, Shanti said: “It was here I spent the happiest time of my life, but also the most difficult. I was extremely ill.”

Kedar and his new wife, as well as Naunita Lal, Lugdi’s son, were waiting inside the house. Shanti kissed her past life son. She then went upstairs and found the room that she had occupied in prior lifetime was empty. She correctly identified where her bed had once been situated. She also revealed a secret hiding spot underneath floorboards where she had hidden money, but found that the  money was gone. Kedar explained that he used the money to pay for Lugdi’s funeral.

Like a Dalai Lama, Shanti Sorts out Which are Her Past Life Possessions

Shanti asked for her jewelry. Kedar fetched a jewelry box and Shanti proceeded to sort out what were hers, as Lugdi, and what belonged to Kedar’s new wife. She then decided to show the group the well she used in her past lifetime in the courtyard of the property. She pointed to a corner of the yard, but there was no well. Kedar reported that the well was there, but the water became contaminated and the well was boarded up.

Shanti Recognizes her Past Life Parents

The party then summoned taxis to take then to the Dvarkadish Temple. On the way, Shanti had her cab stop near a white wall and getting out, Shanti found an entrance that led to a large garden behind the wall. Shanti explained that this was her childhood home. People were in the garden having a party. Shanti ran up to an elderly woman, who turned out to be Lugdi’s mother. She exclaimed, “Mama, Mama, Jagti Devi. It’s Lugdi Devi, your daughter.”

She then saw her past life father, Chaturbhuj. Shanti told him that he was very poor and put himself into debt to provide a sufficient dowry for her to marry Kedar Nath Chaubey. Chaturbhuj confirmed that this was true. After this meeting with her past life parents, Shanti and the party continued onto the Dvarkadsih temple where the golden stature of Krishna welcomed them.

In the end, The Committee of Inquiry concluded that the reincarnation case of Lugdi Devi Chaubey | Shanti Devi Mather was a valid one, one that Mahatma Gandhi endorsed.

Shanti’s Memories of the Interval Between Death and Rebirth

Shanti Devi was interviewed by the Swedish journalist Sture Lonnerstrand, who wrote the book this article is based on. Shanti related to him that she had memories of what happened to her after her death as Lugdi Devi Chaubey. Shanti stated that she observed a doctor and a nurse examining her body to certify that she was dead. She stated that Kedar wanted to kiss her mouth but that the doctor restrained him.

She related that she was aware that her body was taken back to the house where she had lived, where it was wrapped in silk and linen, covered with flowers and carried on a bier made of bamboo cane poles. Kedar then lit the wood, so that Lugdi’s body would be cremated. At that point Shanti said that she was aware of an infinite bright light.

After that point, Shanti said that she felt free and had shrunk to a tiny size, like a particle of dust. She said that it was as if she was a germ which drifted around, yet she felt that the whole universe was inside of her. She said that all her incarnations were contained within this tiny germ.

She related that all her memories returned in a concentrated form and then she developed a great yearning to become a woman again. The experience of floating ceased when it felt that she had been affixed to something, which he later realized was a womb. She had begun her incarnation to be born as Shanti.

The Phenomenon of Spirit Being Orbs

Of interest, Shanti’s description of becoming tiny, like a germ, seems to correspond to images of spherical objects now being captured on digital cameras that are called orbs. Though some orbs are caused by dust or water droplets, not all orbs can be explained by these optical effects.

In my work with Kevin Ryerson, who channels a highly intelligent spirit being named Ahtun Re, I asked about orbs. Ahtun Re told me that true orbs are indeed representations of spirits, of what in various philosophies have been called the bindu or the permanent atom of a soul. Shanti’s description of floating as a tiny germ, conscious of interconnection with all beings, is likely what it feels like to be a spirit orb. To learn more about orbs, please go to:

When Kristen was 3 years old, she fell and struck the back of her head, causing a wound which bled. As a physician was not available, Olaf stopped the bleeding himself and dressed the wound.

As Kristen grew up, she developed an interest in acting, attended a drama school and performed in plays that were broadcast on the radio.

At 17 years of age, Kristen married Einar Grimsson. They lived in Reykjavik and in fall of 1947 they purchased a house, which had a basement where they placed their washing machine.

On November 6, 1947, Kristin’s sister, Soffia, was visiting the couple. Kristen went to use the wringer of the washing machine and experienced an electric shock. She told Einar about the incident and they decided not to use the machine until an electrician inspected it. Kristen stayed in the basement while Einar went to visit a neighbor.

Suddenly, Soffia, who was upstairs, heard Kristen call for her. Soffia found Kristen with her right arm affixed to the washing machine. Soffia ran to a neighbor to ask for help, who managed to turn the electricity to the house off, but when they went to the basement, Kristen had already died due to electrocution.  She was 22 years old when she passed.

Kristen is Reincarnates as the Child of her Sister, Margret

Margret, the sister of Kristen, had a daughter who was born in Reykjavik on January 3, 1967, 19 years after Kristen had died. Margret’s husband was Larus Johannson. The couple were Christians, more specifically, Lutherans. They named their daughter Ditta.

A Reincarnation Announcing Dream with a Talking Baby

ReincarnationEviidenceBabyDuring Margret’s pregnancy, her sister Gudrun, had a dream about their deceased sister, Kristin. In this dream, the following occurred:

Margret and her husband had a newborn baby, and they asked Gudran to take care of the baby while they were out. They left and Gudrun remained alone with the baby. They baby then sat up and began to talk. She said:

“Do you know that I am born again?

Gudren replied: “No, I do not know that.”

The baby then said: “Yes, I was here before…It was difficult to be born and easy to die…”

Then Gudren asked whether she looked the same?

The baby said: “Yes, but I am darker now, darker in complexion and darker hair.”

Then the baby said that she had a scar. Gudrun asked whether the this has to do with her death.

iisisreincarnationresearchbabywithoutreachedarmsThe baby replied: “No. I was over 20 when I died, but I got that scar when I was a little girl. It will go away.”

Then the baby asked about Maria, (another of the daughters of the family, who had been a babysitter for Kristen).

Gudren, upon hearing Maria’s name spoken by the baby said: “Oh, did you know us before?”

At this, the baby laid down again and said: “I do not want to talk about it anymore.”

Gudren interpreted the dream as the baby representing her sister Kristen, as she was the only one in the family who had died.

A Past Life Birthmark

When Ditta was two weeks old, Margret noticed a prominent birthmark at the back of her head above and behind her right ear. This was the same place where Kristen incurred the wound to her head in a fall. Margret and Larus divorced when Diita was a small child.

A Past Life Husband

When Ditta was two years old, Margret noticed that Ditta was playing as an actress. Margret asked her daughter what she wanted to do when she grew up. Ditta replied that she wanted to be an actress. When Ditta was about two and a half years old, Ditta noticed a ring on Margret’s finger.

Ditta asked: “Who gave you that ring?

Margaret replied: “My first husband.”

Ditta then said: “I had a husband too.”

Margret replied: “Little girls do not have husbands.”

Ditta then said: “Well, I have one.”

Margret asked: “Ok. So what is his name.”

Ditta: “Einar.”

Ian Stevenson noted that Margret did not believe that Ditta had ever heard the name Einar, which was the name of Kristen’s husband, as it was over 20 years after Kristen’s death. Einar had remarried and he had no contact with Margret’s family after Kristen’s death. In telling Margret that her husband was Einar, Ditta was conveying that she was the reincarnation of Kristen.

Past Life Talent: Ditta Could Spontaneously Read

An astonishing aspect of this case is that Ditta was able to read without being taught. At the age of six she was better at reading than other children who had been taught to read. Ditta herself was puzzled by this ability. This phenomenon is akin to xenoglossy, where an individual can speak a language which was not learned.

As Ditta grew up, the family noticed that Ditta bore a striking resemblance to Kristen. Both had unusually light blue eyes, though Ditta had darker hair and skin, much as the baby in Gudren’s dream had predicted.

Principles of Reincarnation-Understanding Past Lives

Physical Resemblance: As mentioned above, Ditta looked very much like Kristen.

Past Life Birthmark: Ditta had a birthmark that corresponded to Kristen’s head wound.

Planning Lifetimes and Relationships Renewed through Reincarnation: Kristen reincarnated as the daughter of her sister, Margret. Kristen had been Margret’s favorite sister.

Past Life Talent and Behavior: Ditta was able to read without being taught. She also played at being an actress, replicating Kristen’s affinity for acting.

Spirit Beings in Reincarnation Cases: From the spirit world, the soul of Kristen | Ditta sent an announcing dream to Kristen’s sister, Gruden, indicating that she was born again. Since this dream occurred during Margret’s pregnancy, Kristen was not yet born, but was predicting that she would be. In Gruden’s dream, the talking baby even knew that she would physically resemble Kristen, except for having darker hair and skin.

A Man Reincarnates as a Girl Who Loves Beautiful Dresses: The Reincarnation case of Jinadasa Perera| Purnima Ekanayake

The Life and Death of Jinadasa Perera

Jinadasa Perera was a man who lived in Kelaniya, a suburb of Colombo in Sri Lanka. The city is known for its Buddhist Kelaniya Temple, which sits on the bank of the Kelani River. Jinadasa’s mother was named Simona and he had two younger brothers and two sisters. The younger sister was named Violet. He had attended the Rahula school and completed the fifth grade.

His father was a poor farmer and Jinadasa left school to work to help support his family.  He did odd jobs until his sister married a man named Wijisiri, who made his living by manufacturing incense. Jinadasa then joined his brother-in-law in making incense. Their family business was prosperous, employing up to 30 people at a time.  They made incense by blending charcoal ash with a fragrant substance and marketed incense through two brands, Ambiga and Geta Pichcha.

Jinadasa entered into a relationship with Wijisiri’s sister, Kusumi, who he lived with for several years, though they were never officially married. Since they quarreled, Jinadasa left Kusumi and moved to the south of Sri Lanka where he acquired a new girlfriend named Nanda, whom he lived with in the town of Weliggama. There he produced incense with a friend whose name was Somasiri.

After five years in Weliggama, Jinadasa took a trip to Colombo and there he learned that his brother-in-law, Wijisiri, had incurred an injury to his knee which made him bedridden. This induced Jinadasa to move back to Kelaniya to help with Wijisiri’s incense business.

After being there for a few days, in September 1985, Jinadasa went by bicycle to sell incense at the local market. On the way, in the village of Nugegoda, he was run over by a bus and died immediately.

One of Jinadasa’s brothers, Chandradasa, went to the mortuary to identify the body. Chandradasa observed massive injuries on Jinadasa’s body from the left lower ribs up and across the body, which appeared to be caused by the tires of the bus. An autopsy revealed that several ribs had been broken on the left side of the chest, which punctured the lungs. The liver and the spleen were ruptured.

Jinadasa Reincarnates as a Girl

Purnima Ekanayake was born in 1987 in the northern Sri Lankan city of Bakamuna, which is 145 miles away from Kelaniya. Prominent birthmarks were observed on the left side of Purnima’s chest.  Her father was a principle of a secondary school and her mother was a teacher at that school.

As a small child, Purnima repeatedly said: “People who drive over people are bad persons.” She would ask her mother, “Do you not also think that persons who cause accidents are bad people?”

Purnima’s mother became upset by a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred near their home. Purnima responded by telling her mother, “Do not think about this accident. I came to you after such an accident.” Purnima said that after the accident she closed her eyes and came “here.” When her  mother asked if she was treated at a hospital after the accident, Purnima related that she was not taken to a hospital as: “A heap of iron was on my body.” She said she was killed by a “big vehicle.”

Purnima reports Observing her Past Life Funeral and Existence in the Spirit World between Death and Rebirth

Purnima elaborated that after the accident she floated for a few days in a dimly lit setting, where there were many other people floating around her. From the spirit realm she observed her own funeral where she saw people crying. She then saw a light, which she went to and then came “here,” meaning to her parents and home in Bakamuna.

Past Life Memories of Being an Incense Maker

Purnima said that she was a man in her prior lifetime and that her family made incense, specifically two types of incense, Ambiga and Geta Pichcha. (These brands, by the way, did not exist in Bakamuna.)  Further, she said that the family employed outsiders in making incense and that she would supervise these people. She demonstrated her habit of walking with her hands behind her back, observing the progress of workers.

She related that their incense factory was near a brick factory and a pond. Purnima related that the family had two vans and a car. She stated that her mother’s name was Simona. Purnima said she attended Rahula School, though only up to the fifth grade. All these statements were correct for the life of Jinadasa.

Past Life Relationships

Purnima also said that, in her past lifetime, she was married to a sister-in-law whose name was Kusumi. She also said she had two wives. Dr. Harraldsson, in his narrative of this case, explained that in Sri Lanka couples who are not officially wed but who are living together are considered married. As such, these statements were accurate for the life of Jinadasa.

Purnima Recognizes the Kelaniya Temple and the Location of her Past Life Home

When Purnima was four years old, the family was watching a television program on the Kelaniya Temple. Purnima said she recognized the temple. Soon thereafter, her parents organized a trip for their students to tour the Kelaniya Temple, which as noted above, is 145 miles from Bakamuna. Purnima joined her parents on this trip and once on the temple grounds, she told her parents that in her past life, she used to live across the river.

An opportunity to investigate Purnima’s memories arose when in January 1993, her father hired a new teacher who spent weekends in Kelaniya, as he married there. This teacher, WG Sumanasiri, agreed to investigate Purnima’s statements regarding a past life across the river from the Kelaniya Temple. The information that he was given included that Purnima was a man who sold incense sticks on a bicycle who died in a fatal accident involving a large vehicle. In addition, he was given the names of the incense that this man sold, specifically, Ambiga and Geta Pichcha.

Purnima’s Past Life Family is Found

On his return to Kelaniya, Sumanasiri found that there were three incense makers who were located across the river from the temple. One of these manufacturers, LA Wijisiri, made the Ambiga and Geta Pichcha brands. Sumanasiri learned that Wijisiri’s brother-in-law and business partner, Jinadasa Perera, had been killed when he was hit by a bus while taking incense to a market on a bicycle. This accident occurred in 1985, about two years before Purnima was born.

Soon after Sumanasiri conveyed his findings, Purnima, her parents, Sumanasri and his brother-in-law made an unannounced visit to the Wijisiri family. When they approached the residence, Purnima whispered to her mother: “This incense dealer (referring to herself) had two wives. This is a secret. Don’t give them my address. They might trouble me.”

Wijisiri’s daughters were home and they let the visitors into the house. Wijisiri was not home at that time. Shortly thereafter, Wijisiri walked up to the house and Purnima told her party:

“This is Wijisiri, he is coming. He is my brother-in-law.”

Purnima inspected packets of incense that were found at the Wijisiri home. She then told Wijisiri that she herself used to sell these incense sticks. She then asked:

“Have you changed the outer cover of these packets?”

Wijisiri indeed changed the packet colors and design about every two years.

Purnima noted that Wijisiri had an injury to his knee, which resulted in him not being able to bend it. She told Wijisiri that she herself, as Jinadasa, had applied medicine to his knee injury.

Purnima asked Wijisiri about past life friends, including Somasiri, who made incense with Jinadasa in Weliggama, and Padmasiri, the brother of Wijisiri. She also asked about her past life sister, who was married to Wijisiri, and her past life mother. She also noted that the Wijisiri family had their home and factory at a different place when Jinadasa was alive, which was correct. Purnima’s knowledge of these facts convinced Wijisiri that she was indeed the reincarnation of Jinadasa.

Purnima then showed Wijisiri her birthmark and she said: “This is the mark I received when I was hit by a bus.” She also stated that her fatal accident occurred in Nugegoda, which was true.

Purnima Identifies a Past Life Sister and Friend

During this visit a number of people stood outside the Wijisiri house, including Somasiri. Purnima saw him and said, “This is my friend.” When her father asked who this person was, she replied: “This is Somasiri, my friend.” Purnima also pointed to a woman and said: “This is my younger sister.” The woman was Violet, Jinadasa’s younger sister.

Purnima Remembers how to Make Incense

Purnima was asked if she remembered how to make incense. She replied that there are two methods. In one, cow dung is used and the other utilizes charcoal ash from firewood. A paste is made from either the cow dung or charcoal ash, to which is added an ingredient that lends the fragrance. The paste is applied to a bamboo stick and rolled, to create an incense stick. She noted that in her past life, she used the charcoal method of making incense. All these statements were correct.

Dr. Haraldsson noted that Purnima’s father only had heard that cow dung was used to make incense and her mother had no knowledge of the manufacturing process. Haraldsson also affirmed that Purnima’s family and the Wijisiri family had no knowledge of each other prior to their meeting in 1993.

Despite Gender Change, Purnima is Feminine

We have observed in other cases involving gender change that gender identity issues and homosexuality can result. A dramatic case in this regard is:

Reincarnation Case of a Japanese Soldier | Ma Tin Aung Myo

This did not occur with Purnima, as she enjoyed wearing beautiful dresses, indicating that she is very comfortable with her femininity.

Principle of Reincarnation-Understanding Past Lives

Change of Gender: Jinadasa, a man, reincarnated as a woman.

Past Life Birthmarks: Purnima had birthmarks on the left side of her chest corresponding to injuries incurred by Jinadasa.

Relationships Renewed through Reincarnation: Purnima was reunited with her past life family and friends.

Spirit Being Involvement: Purnima described her experience in the spirit realm. Another case that involves a detailed account of the transition from death to rebirth is: The Reincarnation Case of Nai Leng | Choate

A Lebanese Student Commits Suicide in California and Reincarnates in Lebanon: The Past Life Case of Rabih Assaf | Wael Kiwan

How Derived: Past Life Memories in Childhood

The Life and Death of Rabih Assaf

Rabih Assaf was born on August 12, 1964. He lived with his mother, whose name was Munira, in a four-story apartment building in Beirut, Lebanon, in the Jal al Bahr neighborhood, which was close to the Mediterranean Sea. There was a mosque nearby which was named Allah Wa Akbar.

They lived on the first floor, where they had a balcony in the front of their apartment that was just above the level of the street. Rabih would often jump off the balcony onto the pavement to exit the apartment. Behind their home was a building with a red roof.

When he matured, Rabih grew out a mustache to compliment his black hair. When he was 21 years old, Rabih moved to South Pasadena, California, where the family had relatives. The purpose of this relocation was for him to study electrical engineering at an American university. He completed two years of study, but then ran out of money. Rabih wanted to return to Beirut but was unable to for two reasons. One was that a civil war was taking place there. Secondly, he did not have enough money to travel there, nor, unfortunately, did he have the funds to support himself in California.

Rabih became depressed and attempted suicide by taking an overdose of medications, but he was taken to a hospital and survived. His family in South Pasadena tried to keep an eye on him to prevent another attempt, but on January 9, 1988, Rabih committed suicide by hanging himself in the family’s garage.

Rabih Reincarnates in Lebanon

Wael Kiwan was born in 1988 in the village of Batir, which is in the mountains of Lebanon 70 kilometers or 44 miles east of Beirut. The date of his birth was not documented in the case report published by Dr. Haraldsson, but it was stated that it appeared that Wael was born within a year of the death of Rabih Assaf.

Past life Memories

At the age of four, Wael said that his name was Rabih. He said that he was big before and that he had other parents in Beirut. He wanted to know where they were. He said that he lived in the Jal al Bahr section of Beirut by the sea and that he lived by the mosque of Allah Wa Akbar.

Wael would talk of a boat. He would draw the steering wheel of a boat on paper and say, “I used to stand,” and he would then move his hands in a circular motion showing how he would steer the boat.

Let us summarize statements that Wael made, which are accurate for the life of Rabih Assaf:

“My name was Rabih. I was big.”

“I have parents. They are not here, they are in Beirut.”

“My house is in Beirut near the sea.”

“My house is in Jal al Bahr.”

“My house is near the house of Allah Wa Akbar.”

“There is a house with a red brick roof.”

“We had a balcony.”

“I used to jump from the balcony to the street.”

“I would walk from my house to the sea.”

“I was often on a boat out at sea.”

“I had two homes, one in Beirut, and one which I went to in an airplane.”

Investigating Wael’s Past Life Memories

Periodically, Wael’s father would go on business to Beirut. On his return, Wael would ask if he had seen his house. When his father replied that he had not, Wael would get upset and say, “If you find it, don’t tell them that Rabih has died, because they will cry.”

In trying to understand who Wael could have been in his past incarnation, the family convened with Wael and they listed common family or last names in Beirut. He rejected all the names until they came to “Assaf,” at which point Wael stated, “Yes,” that was the name of his previous family. As such, the apparent past life name was Rabih Assaf.

Wael’s father had a friend in Beirut, Sami Zhairi, who agreed to ask around for a boy that Wael described. Sami learned about Rabih Assaf who lived in the Jal al Bahr section of Beirut, whose life who seemed to match the statements made by Wael.

Wael finds his Past Life Home

About a year after he made his first statements about a previous existence, Wael’s father took him to Beirut. Once there, they were accompanied by Sami. When they entered the Jal al Bahr neighborhood, Wael ran ahead and identified his past life home with a balcony just above street level.

They knocked on the door of the first-floor apartment and were let in by Raja Assaf, who was the brother of Rabih. Munira, Rabih’s mother, was not home at the time. Wael saw a picture on the wall and said, “This is my picture.” It was a photo of Rabih Assaf.

Raja then brought out a photo album to see if Wael could identify family members. He was able to identify Rabih’s father, sister and paternal aunt.  Wael asked Raja what happened to the building with the red roof? It turned out that this building was demolished following the death of Rabih.

Later on, when Munira was asked what made her believe that Wael was her deceased son reborn, she related his knowledge of the building with the red roof convinced her more than anything, as Rabih grew up seeing the building from the back of their apartment. How could Wael know about a structure that no longer was there?

Munira also confirmed that Rabih would often jump off their balcony to access the street, rather than going through the front door of their apartment. It was also verified that the Allah Wa Akbar mosque was located about 100 meters from the apartment that Munira lived in.

Repressed Memories regarding Wael’s Past Life Suicide?

A discrepancy in this reincarnation case is that Wael never said that he had killed himself. Rather, he repeatedly said that it was sunset, that he saw a group of people coming towards him and they shot him, then kicked him and hit him until he did not feel anything. One wonders if committing suicide brought shame and embarrassment to Wael, so the soul of Rabih | Wael created this alternate death story to lessen painful memories of being depressed to the point of taking one’s own life.

A Reincarnation Announcing Dream

Wael’s mother shared that she had a dream a week before he was born, in which she saw a grown-up boy who had a mustache, black hair and an open shirt on.  The boy was sweating, as well as breathing rapidly and with difficulty. Later, after this reincarnation case was solved, Wael’s mother noted that the man in her dream resembled Rabih. The boy’s difficulty with breathing could be related to suicide by hanging.

Principles of Reincarnation-Understanding Past Lives

Planning Lifetimes and Relationships Renewed through Reincarnation: Though Rabih died in California, he managed to reincarnate in Lebanon near his past life home. This event dramatically demonstrates planning by the soul for a future incarnation. Through reincarnation, Wael was reunited with his past life mother and brother.

Spirit Being Involvement in Reincarnation Cases: The soul of Rabih appears to have sent his future mother a dream, announcing that he would be born as her son.

Suicide: Rabih committed suicide, but was reborn as Wael

A Ukrainian Jew Reincarnates into a Christian Family in Oklahoma: The Reincarnation Case of Marty Martyn | Ryan Hammons

How Derived: Past Life Memories in Childhood

Researched by: Jim Tucker, MD and Erlendur Haraldsson, PhD

From: I Saw a Light and Came Here, by Erlendur Haraldsson, PhD and James Matlock, PhD

Article by: Walter Semkiw, MD

The Life of Marty Martyn

Morris Kolinsky was born in Philadelphia May 19, 1903. His parents were Ukrainian Jews who had recently immigrated to the United States. He had two sisters, one of whom died in childhood. Morris and his surviving sister moved to New York City to get into show business. Morris did manage to tap dance on Broadway. He then relocated to Los Angeles where he took the stage name Marty Martyn.

In 1932 Marty had a part in the movie Night After Night, whose star was George Raft, though Marty’s role did not involve any spoken lines. He was unable to make a living as an actor, so he founded the Marty Martyn talent agency. His agency was successful.

An actor Marty befriended as Gordon Nance, who made cowboy movies using the stage name Wild Bill Elliot. Nance also did commercials for Viceroy cigarettes.

Marty Martyn was married four times, accumulating one biological daughter and five stepchildren. With his fourth marriage, Marty legally adopted his three most recent stepchildren, who were all boys. The family lived in Beverly Hills on Roxbury Drive in a large house with a pool in the backyard.

Marty loved the beach, had an extensive collection of sunglasses and he reportedly suffered sunburns frequently. He enjoyed Chinese food, fine clothes and travel, sailing to Europe on the Queen Mary and visiting Paris several times. Politically, he was a Republican.

Marty Martyn developed leukemia and died in the hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage on December 25, 1964 at the age of 61.

Marty Martyn Reincarnates in Oklahoma

Ryan Hammons was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma in 2004, 40 years after the death of Marty Martyn. Ryan’s mother’s name is Cindy and the family is Christian. The development of Ryan’s speech was delayed by enlarged adenoids, which are a cluster of immune system cells located in the back of the mouth. Enlarged adenoids can hamper breathing, as well as speech. After his adenoids were surgically removed, Ryan finally started speaking in full sentences when he was four years old.  At that point, Ryan started talking about a past lifetime.

Ryan said that he wanted to go home to Hollywood and begged his mother to take him there so that he could visit his “other family,” including his three adopted sons who he was worried about. He said he had two sisters and one biologic child, a daughter from his first marriage.

Ryan said that he worked for an “agency” where people changed their names. He inferred that he had power in this position by making statements such as:

“Do you know who I am? If you mess with me you won’t ever work in this town again.”

Ryan said that he had a big house with a swimming pool that was situated on a street that had a name with “rock” in it. Further, he said that he had traveled by ship, visited Paris and viewed the Eiffel Tower.

Ryan said that he had danced on Broadway and he like to demonstrate tap dance routines. In kindergarten, he would play at directing movies. He related that he used to go to Chinatown and when his parents first took him to a Chinese restaurant, Ryan knew how to use chopsticks without being taught. He had a fascination with sunglasses and he said in his past life, he had been sunburned often. Ryan also said that he didn’t like Franklin Delano Roosevelt (a Democrat.)

Spirit Being: Ryan observes Cindy from Heaven

Ryan told his mother that he had seen her from heaven and that he had known her from a previous life. He said that he had chosen her as his mother so that he could take care of her.

Ryan related that he remembered being in Cindy’s womb and he asked why she had wanted him to be a girl. Ryan stated that he observed her cry for a long time when Cindy learned that she was going to have a boy. Cindy was surprised that Ryan knew about the crying episode, which was true, but Ryan had no way to know about the incident by normal means as she or Ryan’s father never told him about it.

Cindy Investigates Ryan’s Past Life Memories and contacts Jim Tucker, MD

Cindy decided to investigate Ryan’s statements regarding a past lifetime and she researched books on Hollywood from the community’s library. As Cindy and Ryan were perusing these books, they came upon a photograph from the movie Night After Night. Ryan recognized one of the men in the photo as himself. This man is pictured to the right. Ryan said another man was named George and a third man in the photo was a friend of his who was a cowboy and who a starred in cigarette commercials. Unfortunately, the man who Ryan said was him in a past incarnation was not identified by name in the book or the movie credits of Night After Night.

With this information at hand, Cyndi contacted Jim Tucker, MD, an academic psychiatrist at the University of Virginia, who has taken over the work of the late Ian Stevenson, MD. When Ryan was five years old Dr. Tucker traveled to Oklahoma to study this case. A television production company that was making a program on children with past life memories came with Tucker.

Ryan Recognizes the Home of his Past Life Friend, Wild Bill Elliot

Based on a facial resemblance, production company staff made a tentative identification of who the actor was in the Night After Night photo that Ryan claimed was him. The company flew Ryan to Los Angeles and drove him by the home of this actor, but Ryan did not recognize it. Ryan did recognize the home of Wild Bill Elliot. Concluding that the proposed actor was an incorrect past life match, the TV production company hired a film archivist who eventually identified the mystery man in the photo as Marty Martyn. By this time, Ryan was six years old.

Ryan meets his Past Life Daughter

On a subsequent trip to California, Ryan met his past life daughter. This daughter was only eight years old at the time her father, Marty Martyn, died, while she herself was 57 years old when she met Ryan. Still, Ryan said that he recognized her face.

Ryan wants to Study Judaism, his Past life Religion

Though Jim Tucker did the initial investigation of this reincarnation case, psychologist Erlendur Haraldsson, PhD did follow-up interviews with Cindy by phone. Ryan was 11 years old at the time of Dr. Haraldsson’s phone interviews. Haraldsson noted at this time that Ryan loved music from the 1950’s and that he affiliates with the Republican party.

Most interestingly, Dr. Haraldsson noted that Ryan wants to study Judaism, which is a source of “friction” within his Christian family.

Principles of Reincarnation-Understanding Past Lives

Change of Religion: Marty Martyn was Jewish and of Ukrainian ethnicity, while Ryan was born to a Christian, American family in Oklahoma.

Spirit Beings in Reincarnation Cases: Ryan said that he picked Cindy to be his mother from the spirit realm. Further, he knew Cindy wanted a girl during her pregnancy with Ryan and that she cried for a prolonged time when she found out that she was having a boy. Ryan witnessed this event from the spirit world.

Relationships Renewed through Reincarnation: Ryan met his past life daughter. In addition, Ryan stated that he knew Cindy in a previous incarnation

Past Life Talent: Ryan knew tap dance routines and he was adept at using chopsticks without instruction.
